I've always wanted to visit Peoria IL, because everyone always talks about it! It must be famous for some reason. Peoria AZ actually has higher population, but we aren't known for anything. Haha. Basically we are just a town with tons of houses and chain restaurants/stores. Not too exciting, but a nice, convenient place to live!

The one I am currently trying to get through for Book Club is not my cup of tea, so keep putting it down to read my Kindle! LOL! The Route 66 exhibit is supposed to be at the MHM for several months I think - you might want to check on-line. I will not make the April church crop as we are supposed to go out of town (sort of bumming because it is the post card show and the stamp show in St. Louis - the stamp show was $10 to get in but had tons of awesome vintage post stamps, so...). I would only go to Crown Candy during the day, the area can be very rough at night, just saying! But the food was amazing!! I was find something at the Flea Market! LOL! Anita and I are going to Aurora, MO the end of April for a Junkapolloza - staying in Branson, so will be a fun time! LOL! Saturday was a scrapbook day, but Anita and I were going to the casino to see the Michael Jackson Tribute for her B-day - it was amazing!! Comment: Hi Hanna! How nice that you were "gifted" with the mailer you sent - loved it! Did you get all your Christmas stuff done? We have to start a tad early as we sent to Germany and thankfully all our boxes we mailed have made it but two from vendors have not - sigh! Plus theirs has not made it here, but we decided to FaceTime on Christmas and open presents together when the majority show up! LOL! Our only plans are to take the youngest out tonight - it is his 23rd B-day, and to have a family friend over for dinner and games tomorrow night - our family is so small, when anyone is missing, it is very noticeable!! Sigh! The hubby's Christmas Party got cancelled due to bad weather, so they moved it to the Wed we had book club - missed the party but book club night was fun! After this I have one more event, that will be a get together with two friends with our youngest kids - we have done this gal/kid get together for years - no hubbys or male friends - it is always a fun evening! I will help cook on Christmas - also made puppy chow and some cookies today and started the makings of a breakfast cassorole in the am - I am off work until Jan. 5 and so far I have done a ton of work here, but it is better than being in the office! One is for a book club meeting this month by Tracy CHEVALIER dealing with Orchards. The other is a biography of a Jewish German women who survived the Holocaust by living undercover. I love your card, and reminds of a local bookstore I use to visit where the books were arranged that way, in bookshelves and piles on the floor.

Some of the things we had in common and believe it or not the big one and i laughed over that was the worst veggie! Hahaha i had a great laugh over taht one as we felt the same about that! There were some great things that you shared that i enjoyed reading and i also had compassion for some of the things you shared. Isnt it amazing to be human? All the experiences we go thru? And it was great receiving the "Guten Tag" postcard because it so surprised me reading German on a postcard from the USA :D I wish you all the best for October and wish you fun reading whatever books you picked for November :) I love to read, too, as a child my family always went to the library with a big suitcase (like for travelling) and we usually still couldn't fit all books we picked inside :D

I've never taught 11th grade/American Lit before, so it's a whole new world in some ways. American Lit has never been my favorite, but it's been okay so far. I love teaching TKAM, although it often drags on for three weeks too long. It's actually part of the freshman curriculum, so I won't get to teach it this year. ☹️

I think the swaps I've loved the most are ones where I was sent something handmade - some of my favourites are a fabric pencil case with my name embroidered on it, an adorable crocheted turtle, and a hand painted picture from with a character I like on it. Comment: I loved your notecard. Thank you! To answer your question, my town is about 56 miles north of MSP and a two hour drive north of Mankato. I had a friend that went to college in Mankato and I visited there a couple of times. As far as MSP goes, we northerners just call it "the cities" and I go there often.

He looks so done with everything, I love him! We have a couple of balloon festivals here in Oregon.
