I'm an American expat now living in the UK. I live with my husband, my pug and my daughter Lulu. I've always had penpals since I was a little girl and still feel the same excitement I always got when I get goodies in the mail!

In November 2013, my best friend passed away. This was one of the hardest things I've had to deal with and I shut down--I withdrew from everything as I didn't have room for it in my grief. This unfortunately included Swap-bot. I got several bad ratings because of this. I haven't been back on Swap-bot since then, but it's always been in the back of my mind because I really enjoyed it. I am sorry for my neglect of my swaps and it will not happen again. I love swapping and really want my rating to go up again as it was quite good before November. I hope I am given the chance to prove it.

My warm fuzzies include skulls and skeletons, Halloween, Harry Potter, David Tennant, photography, shabby chic, the colour pink, pugs, unicorns and rainbows. I'm a big nerd and I love literature, sci-fi and the paranormal. I'm pretty crafty as well and love knitting, sewing and scrapbooking.

Some of my favourites are:

BOOKS: the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, anything by Jane Austen or Oscar Wilde, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Perfume by Patrick Suskind, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, the Canterbury Tales, Harry Potter, Stephen King.

I run a book club and always have my nose in a book. I'm always happy to get more books, new or used! My faves are historical fiction, fantasy and horror.

MOVIES: Velvet Goldmine, Billy Elliott, Vanilla Sky, Signs, In Her Shoes, What Dreams May Come, Love Actually, Harry Potter, Sweeney Todd, Beetlejuice, the Nightmare Before Christmas (if you can't guess, I like Tim Burton), Paranormal Activity, old school horror (Freddy, Jason and Chucky are my faves)

MUSIC:
I have pretty eclectic taste in music but my true favourites are the Beatles, the White Stripes, the Strokes, the Smiths, the Cure, Oasis, the Pixies, Muse, Talking Heads, David Bowie, old school punk

TV: Friends, American Horror Story, Superstore, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, Impractical Jokers, Doctor Who, the IT Crowd, How I Met Your Mother, Ghost Hunters, and The Office.

I LOVE postcards and have about four shoeboxes stuffed full of them. I love sending and receiving cards and am always up for a swap!

What I like as far as postcards go: * skulls and skeletons (especially sugar skulls or Day of the Dead) * anything to do with Halloween * the colour pink * pugs * Anything to do with medieval England (royalty, Shakespeare, castles, etc) * books and literature * paranormal or just weird in general * museums! Any and all, I love them. * anything quirky or kitsch

What I DO NOT like:
* Disney. Hate it. * meat - I'm a veggie! * ad cards * landscapes * comics or cartoons

I love scrapbooks and have tons of them. I'm always after Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings or Beatles clippings. I also like any paper objects that can be used in altered books or journaling, such as unique stamps or stickers, board game pieces, old magazine clippings, scrapbook paper, etc. I'm happy with makeup or beauty products, especially organic ones. I also like jewelry, socks, bookmarks, notebooks and stationary. I like anything vintage, shabby chic or skulls. I do not like anything floral scented and don't care for cartoony stuff.
