About Me

Love art and in-gage in it everyday either by painting or drawing or painting, have loved swap bot and exchanging mail in various mediums and formats. I live in a very rural area in Northern California so give my mail an extra day or two you will receive and not be disappointed!

I graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art. The body of my work and what I am most interested in is drawing, painting and printmaking. I usually work in large format. I am now interested in working the ATC format which is so small and very fun. Love to do all kinds of art and crafty things. I also sew and make quilts. Favorites My dog , Mr. Blue, a Min Pin, we go for walks, he loves to play with little furry things and balls, the vet put him on a diet but I still give him a snack occasionally. We also have a Chocolate Lab who has actually taught Mr. Blue how to retrieve! I love the following: Swimming, Open Water, in lakes, 2mi/5mi. Birds, waterfowl and wetlands. Hiking, Biking, and Kayaking. Games: Blokus, scrabble, card games. Music: All types, global, classical, country. Books Dan Brown, Steven King. Colors: Ultramarine Blue, Teal, and lavender. TV: NCIS, Food network Movies: anything with Johnny Depp or Hugh Jackman. Paper crafts, painting outdoors, scrap booking, and photo journaling. All types of flowers. Foodies: Jr. Mints, almonds, good milk chocolate, sunflower seeds cinnamon, and black teas esp. Earl Grey, oh and now Vanilla Chai tea introduced to me by my tea swapper friends!

Current studies include playing classical guitar, and bluegrass guitar. I am a painter of landscapes, outdoors in plein air, work in pastel, oil and watercolor. Studio painting in winter. Day job: Artist in Residence at a Elementary School, teaching K-8th drawing, painting and printmaking. Students are also engaged in ATC and would like to exchange their work in swaps. Favorite crafts: card making, papermaking, and printmaking.

New Love: Book making, so am in need of hand made papers, any paper with texture, embellishments or interesting closures. Rafia, or grass type strans. In need of old photos of famous artists and small paintings. Into pop-up books in miniature format and altered book so fun.
