Comment: First of all, thanks for the extras. I do love postcards!!! Pretty much all the bits of advice you would have given yourself, I would have given myself too!! You put the comment about buying stock in Apple. That made me smile. I made a comment that I would tell myself NOT to buy a home before 2010 because the market would crash and we would lose a lot of money in our home. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!!
Response: Thank you. It was an interesting swap, hope you enjoyed making yours. I could have filled a couple more zines with advice but whether I would have taken note of that advice is uncertain, Marcelle

You have not participated in the Adventures of the Traveling Postcard in quite sometime. If you intend on participating, there is a round listed right now. If you no longer wish to participate, I will PM you my address so you can send any postcards that you have in your possession to me and I can get them back into rotation.

Thank you.

HI I just read a rating comment and I was wondering what recipe was the staple during the war years?

Could I get the name of it and possibly the recipe in a PM please? Thank you.

Welcome Marcelle It is nice to know there is another Aussie who has discovered swap-bot. Be careful it is addictive.

Hello and thank you so much for the beautiful tote bag and lovely note! Perfect colors for the fall season coming here. In Sacramento, California we do get the trees changing colors, but no snow. It will be perfect for shopping too. Loved the note and all you wrote in it too. Big hugs and thanks again. Hope to see you in the follow on totes I just recently set up. Linda

Hello!!

I too am a beginning scrap booker. I have only finished 1 book, for my niece of her first year. I gave it to her parents that Christmas and made the whole family cry. I felt so proud. Other than that I have many more books in my head, but haven't yet started any of them.

I think it is awesome that you knit for charity!I love to hear people helping other people (and animals) in such a selfless way!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi! It's so great to see an Aussie on here...you are the first non-US swapper I've seen! Although I do know there are a lot more. I lived in New Zealand for 6 months (in a suburb of Auckland) and went to Australia for just a week holiday. It was awesome! I wish I would have gotten more time there, I really loved it. Have you ever been to NZ? I am obviously pretty partial to kiwiland, but I absolutely adore it there :)

It's so great that you knit for charity! I lived in Peru for 6 months a couple years back and I started a 'project' (it was rather small) there to knit for orphans in the mountainous region there, where many children die of the cold. I was just going to make a few scarves (which are the only thing I know how to make..sadly) and then it got so much bigger than I could have hoped! I taught my friends and boyfriend there how to knit, and my mom came from the US to visit and brought an entire suitcase full of knitted garments and we ended up donating sooo much stuff, just between my friends and family, and it felt so good! I named the project Knitting for Niños (which is kids in Spanish :)) and I have since been back to Peru once and brought two full suitcases full of more Knitting for Niños goods. I would like to get it started again here but I just always kind of push it to the back burner because I get so busy with school. Reading your profile has re-inspired me to pick up the needles again, thank you! I also am going to look into the charities you mentioned, since I am also looking for new places to donate (it's just so expensive to ship to Peru)

Well sorry for the novel, your profile just got me all excited! I hope you have a good day, happy trails!

Hi there! No problem- We were all newbies at one point in time! That's so awesome that you knit for charity! Right now, I am working on knitting a scarf for Vasya, a Ukranian orphan I sponsor. Have a great day!
