I prefer that people read my profile to see what I like & don't like & what I want-in my wish list-if they are assigned to me. I always read peoples profiles as a common courtesy-no matter what the swap says--so I have an idea of what the person likes. I don't appreciate someone taking the easy way out & just throwing their cast offs at me -with no thought or effort involved. My own opinion is that they shouldn't even be swapping with an attitude like that. I have been a victim of this a few too many times-so I added this right up front now -for all to see. I would never just send Anything & expect the person to be pleased. I don't think that way. I find it Rude & Unexceptable & Very Dissapointing ! I am a petite 5'3", have hazel eyes, & Med. brown hair. I have 2 girls & have been divorced for 30 years. I am a Born Again Christian. I go to a Baptist Church-but I do not consider myself to have any particular Denomination. I love to Cook, Bake, Garden, Do All Kinds of Indoor & Outdoor Crafts, DIY Projects, Decoupage, Mosaic, Sewing, some Embroidery, Picnics, BBQs, Walking on the Beach to collect shells, Trail Walks, Hiking, Camping, Fireworks, Trying New Things & Foods, Traveling, Exploring New Areas of New Towns, Meeting New People, Snowshoeing. I also just took up Canning . I recently moved from Pawtucket,RI to Woonsocket ,RI. Not by choice-the owner was selling the house & the new Owners wanted to go up on the rent & I could not afford that -so after looking for a while I ended up here -but with Housing that goes by my income. Hopefully I can get a 1 bedroom closer to Pawtucket or in it again after a yr. or so-& have already put in several more applications in the Pawtucket/Providence Area.

Here is a list of likes & Don't Likes for Foods. I love Plain Dark Choc. Mocha, General Foods International Coffees-Café Francis which is the coffee I drink daily as my reg. coffee; or GFIC-Armaretto, or Breakfast Roast,& Med. Roast for Bagged Coffee Beans or Ground Coffee. Teas- Lavendar, Plain Blueberry, Blackberry, Peach, Cinnamon, Earl Grey, Lady Grey, Jasmine, English Breakfast, Irish breakfast, English Afternoon, Darjeeling, Vanilla, Vanilla Nut, French Vanilla, Vanilla Caramel, or Vanilla Caramel Truffle, Green Tea but Only w/Peach, or Ginger, &/or Honey. I Do Not Like Any Citrus Teas Or Apple. Plain Tea is Fine & Any Brands are fine-for the Teas I mentioned. Hot Choc, Dark Hot Choc,-preferably without marshmallows, but ok with them. Hazelnut Hot Choc.,Real Cocoa. I can't chew any kind of Nuts & don't care for Raisins much or anything hard-like melba toast, & hard cracker & Pretzel like things in trail mixes or candies & snacks. I do like Red Rope Llicorice & Sweet Tarts, Cinnamon Dots, Good & Plenty & M&Ms, Reeses P B Cups, or Pieces, Gummy Sugared Sour Worms, Razzles-any kind-7 Up Bar or Sky Bar, (if you can find them) ,Wintergreen & Peppermint TicTacs (reg.or Lg. Size), H. Kisses-all kinds, Jolly Ranchers Hard Candies-for making Stained Glass Window Cookies!

I love hand made Items-bookmarks, embellished things, cards,postcards, etc. I was once in a swap that had Embellished Seed Packets. I loved the ones I recieved & I still put them up on my refridgerator with magnets-in the Spring. I don't mind Religious Cards, but prefer Cutesy, Animals, Bright & Cheery/ Modern Colors (Pink, Lt. Blue, Teal, Purple, Etc.), Currier & Ives, Victorian, Handmade ,Angels or Scenic for Christmas.

Well it's Feb. 6, 2015 & snowing again. Lightly but steadily. I just came from the P.O. Good Lord-I'd never get out for 1/2 an hr. -45 min . the line was so long & a lot w/pkgs. like me. I'll have to wait until Monday to send out my Bookmark swap & 4 Valentine Card swaps. I hope everyone is having a Nice Winter. It's been really Freezing here-Below normal temps. It snows then gets colder & freezes everything for weeks at a time. I went to feed the geese last week & there wasn't any to be found-which is quite rare; they've been staying around all year for many yrs., but they must have found somewhere else to go for a while. The pond was frozen solid & has been for quite a while now. I tried to make a Homemade Stollen for Christmas. Well the recipe said the batter would Feel Sticky. It didn't Feel Sticky-It Was Sticky!! I couldn't get it off my hands & it said to keep working in mo0re flour-which was quite an ordeal for me-I had to keep washing my hands -just to get them sticky again & no matter how much flour I added -it didn't seem to loose it's stickiness! I greased the bowl tossed it in & flipped it over so both sides were greased & covered it with a damp towel & waited for it to rise. And waited, and waited and waited some more -for 2+ hrs. It didn't rise! I looked at the recipe & saw that I followed the recipe to the letter & checked to see if the Yeast packet was expired. I had bought them a few months ago. No -everything fine there So I figured Maybe I overworked the dough-but I had to add the flour & I had a hard time because it was hard to work with, being so sticky. Finally I just split the dough into 2 loaves & tossed it into 2 pans & shoved it into the oven & baked them anyway. The birds had a feast!

Feb 10,2015. I finally got out of the driveway today,so I could mail out the bookmark swap & 4 valentine card swap & pay my car insurance! ( I marked them sent.) Lord , they don't even sand after they plow & plowing does no good! I have to get back up the hill & drive up the hill into my driveway into the parking lot. I hope I can make it-I can't afford a tow & AAA won't tow me into the yard! I really hate the winter here where I live now. I hope an Apt.-a 1 bedroom becomes available soon. I have an appt. in Pawtucket at the Housing Athority Wedensday at 3pm. but I think they are just updating their list. I had to cancel it last month because of the snow. We have more coming Thursday into Friday! I don't know how much more of this I can take. Ughhhh!
