salutations!

TL;DR I love making packages for people, mushrooms, all seeing eye, bees, birds, botanicals, and warm colors. Folk/outsider art is my favorite, and I'm a little bit country, a little bit punk rock. I love black and green teas, but not peach, raspberry, or herbal tisanes unless it's mint, and I believe we all have a right to bodily autonomy. Peace, love, and milkshakes~jessica

i'm just your average jek-crafter whose hands are dipping into all sorts of pie. I stitch a little here and craft a little there and dabble in all sorts of mediums. while I'm pretty handy with most materials I am completely inept with the fiber arts and have accepted my lack of knitting skills by obsessively making yarn pom-poms instead.

I haven't been on swap-bot for..ahem...a very long time, but I am a seasoned swapper and miss the connection of meeting people through crafting. I aim for transparency and will always contact you if I am unable to send on time, and encourage you to contact me if you have not received or if you have any questions. i'm an oldies kind of gal. everything from last week to last year to last decade and so on. currently on my playlist is pokey lefarge, sparks, neko case, wet leg, redd kross, sondre lerche, patsy cline, eddie dean, nick cave, fats waller, the magnetic fields, mirah, mary's danish, janet klein, screamin' jay hawkins and of course, doris day.

my most favorite film ever is What a Way to Go...i'm fond of the quirky flicks and am currently obsessing over silents and old oldies...

other faves include: buckaroo banzai, grease 2, pee-wee's big adventure, harold and maude, amelie, a room with a view, to kill a mocking bird, pillow talk, the apartment, etc.

i still adore and miss dearly, gilmore girls, wonderfalls, and pushing daisies. other faves include pee-wee's playhouse, laugh in, the carol burnette show...and now of course...grey's anatomy and gritty crime shows, though i don't own a tv. thank goodness for netflix, hulu, etc.

i love to create gift packages. LOVE it and miss it.

i'm smitten with the past regarding styles and colors. my kitchen is has more color than i know what to do with but shows a partial fondness for yellow, orange and coral. i adore vintage kitchen stuff and if it has a lobster or chicken on it i'm in love! i love to sew, patchwork, glue things, string garlands, embroider and bake. I have a fondness for mushrooms and all seeing eyes, little boxes, snails, and house shaped objects also make me smile. Oh, and chickens! Oooh, pinecones! Oof, everything!

The fella and I do a lot of road trips and hikes and are generally very dorky. We've been married for 18 years and I still like him a lot. We're of the kind genre and believe love is love, people with uteruses should have agency over their own bodies, and racism sucks.

Not a fan: I'm a sad allergy girl, so heavily scented items and cigarette smoke are not fun for me. I do like scents though, just not strong ones (and sadly, I am allergic to eucalyptus). I like bright warm colors best and while I love the concept of a junk journal, my aesthetic is a bit more colorful than the shabby chic look. No grunginess for me but don't sweat it if that's your jam and what you have to share.
