I'm 51. I am a special education teacher. I live in Illinois in the USA. I live with my fiancé, my 18 year old daughter and our Golden Retriever, Chester.

I like a wide variety of music. I grew up on country. I listen to soft rock, alternative, electric dance, folk, musicals and instrumental. My current favorite song is Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. My father is into antique musical instruments so I have been able to enjoy many of them including band organs, monkey organs, old phonographs and music boxes. I love the music box tunes for Fur Elise and Music Box Dancer. I will give almost anything a listen at least once. I'm usually not a fan of thrash metal or rap.

I like books that have long series. I liked Harry Potter and Alex Cross. I read many fantasy series. My favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings movies. I read the books too. I have been listening to the audiobook series In Death by J.D. Robb. Many of the books I read are "how to" books. Right now I am reading books about quilting and soapmaking. I am very fond of dystopian books so I am always happy for recommendations.

My favorite movies are Dead Poets Society and the Lord of the Rings series. I like the Star Wars movies. Yoda and the Ewoks are the best. I tend to search for fantasy, sci-fi or dystopian.

On television, I watch NCIS, CSI, and odd and end reality shows. I've been enjoying the Ink Master series. My fiancé thinks it's weird since I do not have any tattoos myself.

I dabble in quilting, quilling, sewing and little things for my pen pals (paper crafts).

Postcards - I love animal cards, scenic cards and cards that will make me laugh. In December, I like birthday cards. I do celebrate all the holidays. I personally celebrate Christmas but I am happy to receive holidays I do not celebrate if it is what you celebrate. Even better if you tell me a little about your holiday.

Mail Art - I am new to mail art but I absolutely love it.

Snail Mail - I enjoy snail mail pen pals. I prefer my pals to be international rather than from the USA. I am the type of pen pal who writes a longer letter every couple of weeks instead of short letters every few days.
