I am a stay at home Mom to three kids age 8,6 and 4. Two girls and one boy. I am also homeschooling them and loving it! I am happy to have found a homeschooling community that is young and thriving. I enjoy learning and hope to impart that to my children. I also want to have the best relationship with them as I can and give them the strongest base I can before releasing them into the world. I am a Registered Massage Therapist by trade though I am taking time off from that right now to take care of my kids. But I still have an interest in alternative medicine and health. I love my naturopath! I live in Fort St John BC. It is a northern town which is booming with oil and gas revenues. My husbands family owns a building supply store. So we are not in the oil business but definitely effected by it. I am a searcher when it comes to spirituality. At this point I would call myself 'new thought' or at least in my reading that seems to be the closest label for what I currently believe. But who needs labels! I am into faeries and crystals and love and open mindedness and positivity! I love to read,especially historical fiction. But I also enjoy trashy tabloids and some self help books. I am newly getting into pottery and like to dabble in card making and scrapbooking. I also would love to have more time to paint and sketch and have recently started playing with watercolours. I love to take photos though I have yet to learn all the things my 5 year old camera can do. I have 9000 photos on my computer and I have only printed off a few. I have learned to 'back up'. I also love to travel and take pictures on my travels. I have been to England, Scotland, Sweden, Spain, Portugal and Morocco. And I would love to see more of my own country of Canada and the USA. We built and moved into a new home and hopefully our 'forever' home only a few months ago. I am liking the quietness and privacy of living in the country and having more space. Though now I have to figure out how to decorate this place! lol And so another interest -interior decorating.

Almost anything I can sing along to. Pop and country top 40 stuff mostly. I like Maroon 5, Carrie Underwood, Christina Perry, Coldplay, Dixie Chicks, Florence and the Machine, Joshua Radin, Katy Perry, Mumford and Sons, Nelly, One Republic, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, and of course Christmas Music! My faves are Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Raffi, Lady Antebellum, Justin Bieber, GLEE, and Boney M.

Historical Fiction is my Favorite. I love the Diana Gabaldon Outlander Series, Manda Scotts Dreaming the Eagle Series, The Book of Negroes, Pillars of the Earth and historical biographies. At this point I am the most interested in the history of England, Scotland and Ireland but I am willing to venture out of that box. I also enjoy fantasy- Harry Potter (who doesn't!) Game of Thrones, Sookie Stackhouse (Trueblood), The Black Jewels Trilogy, I also enjoy Spiritual Books like Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss, and Voices out of Stone by Natasha Hoffman, Parenting and homeschooling books like How to raise an Amazing Child the Montessori Way or the Super Nanny And books for fun like Meetings with Remarkable Trees, or 'Whats up down there'.

I used to Irish Dance and love most things about that. The dresses the shoes, claddagh rings, celtic broaches, harps, standing stones etc. I love the colour pink. My art studio/craft room is painted fuchia pink! I love chocolate! Rogers Chocolates! Purdy's chocolates! Kit Kats! I wish I liked vegetables more. I love the light at sunset. I just got my first cell phone this Christmas (2012). I like to watch tv and surf the net at the same time.
