Hello!

I have been doing mail swapping for about five years now and I am having a lot of fun with it. Thank you to my good friend @blubutterfly for introducing swap-bot to me! I have a love of all things snail mail including: letter writing, postcards, stationary.

I like quirky, unique, homemade or vintage things. I appreciate thought provoking messages; a good quote from a philosopher, or touching poem is meaningful to me. I am an aromatherapist in my spare time, and I really enjoy naturally scented things.

I love nature and animals. Currently I have a Border Collie x Australian Shepherd. I love artistic tattoos, and have several myself, including a dragonfly, blue lotus, and a half sleeve that is nature inspired (bugs, bees, chickadees and dandelions). Even though I have a love of nature and animals I despise spiders so please do not send me anything spider related.

I am a vegetarian and I haven't met a fruit or vegetable that I didn't like. My favourite food is pizza, easy on the cheese and loaded with veggies. I am not much into sweets but crave savory foods.

I am not a coffee drinker, the occasional cafe latte excepting, but I LOVE tea. I like it traditional and simple. Orange Pekoe, Assam, or English Breakfast are my favourites. I like Earl Grey in the evenings. I enjoy flavoured black teas too. (I don't love green or herbal teas, but if you have an absolute favourite you want to share I am open to trying it.)

I am an avid amateur photographer. I typically photograph my daughter, nature, or landscapes. Looking at how light and shadow fall on things inspires me.

I have discovered Minimalism and am going through the process of de-cluttering my life both mentally and physically. I don't give a heart based on extras and don't look for those in my swaps unless its something extra special that you think I will truly enjoy and use. (see Things I Love, below)

I love to make cards and most of the time my swaps include cards and/or envelopes that I have made. I have an ETSY store where I sell a few of my items on occasion, linked above if you are interested!

Electronic music is my favourite. I particularly love deep house and progressive psytrance. Indie Rock (hollow coves, X Ambassadors),. Some new country.

I like to have fun binging on Netflix. My favorite series include: Community, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Vampire Diaries. I have fond memories of watching The X Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel.

I really enjoy watching YouTube. I get a lot of ideas for swaps and paper crafting there. I am also quite into minimalism and healthy eating, as well as alternative living. I love movies that make me think or laugh. I feel I have gone through enough grief in my life and typically go for feel good stories with happy endings or comedies. Some of my favourite movies include : One Week, Interstellar, The Martian, The Grand Budapest Hotel, 50/50, Mr. Right, Hancock, Love Actually, The Hunger Games, Deadpool, and The Princess Bride, but the list is ever evolving and varies greatly depending on my mood.
