About Me

I'm dedicated to Swap-Bot and send all my swaps on time. If you haven't received a swap from me, please let me know. I'm always happy to re-send.

In a world where you can be anything....be kind.

I practice yoga, reiki, meditation and energy healing.

I love to garden. When I was a kid, I would help my little Italian Grandma with her garden every summer. We would plant tomatoes, zucchini, all kinds of peppers, watermelon, green beans and potatoes. I've scaled my garden way back as an adult. I mostly plant a large variety of tomatoes, peppers and herbs.

My favorite herbs are basil, rosemary and lavender. These are also some of my favorite scents. As for other smelly stuff, I like berry, lemon, cinnamon, patchouli and nag champa. Not a big fan of strong flowers, apple, watermelon or jasmine.

I work full-time as a paralegal in-house for a government contractor. We build military trucks.

I am an energy healer. Energy Healing is a pleasant and powerful therapy that helps you connect to your inner source of vibrancy and life force, making it available to shift physical, emotional, and mental dysfunction to health and well-being.

I consider myself spiritual. I don’t care for the dogma connected with organized religion. I love to visit sacred spaces and buildings of all types. I practice pagan traditions and holidays. I enjoy exploring the sacred feminine in many different traditions.

I'm an avid tarot/oracle card reader. I collect decks of both. I'm also interested in trading decks if anyone would like to do a private swap.

My favorite "regular" holidays: Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Thanksgiving. I also don't mind receiving holiday items all year.

Favorite Halloween icons: witches, skulls, pumpkins, ghosts, haunted houses, scary trees and cemeteries; not really into black cats or monsters or anything gory. It's fun to get out the ouija board during Halloween for some interesting conversation.

For Thanksgiving, I like traditional themes - turkeys, pumpkins, fall leaves and woodland animals. I love vintage Thanksgiving images.

Favorite Christmas themes: traditional red & green, angels, snowman, silver – anything sparkly. Lots of glitter and sequins. Not into country or rustic themed decorations like burlap and plaid.

For Easter, I love bunnies just not too cartoon-y. I love pastel flowers & ribbon, colored eggs, carrots and Victorian looking Easter baskets.

I have a serious love for all things Starbucks; both the beverages and merchandise. I also love all types of Starbucks inspired stickers, stationary and washi tape.

I have an unhealthy addiction to washi tape. LOL Some of my favorite Washi: Simply Gilded, Paper Geek Co., Inspired Life Studios, Fox and Cactus and Cookie Sticker Co. One of my favorite washi shops on Etsy is GoatGirlMH. If you would like to do a private swap for quality washi, let me know. There are certain themes I'm always in search of.

I'm a fan of the Cavallini stationery, journals, stickers, papers, puzzles...all of it is so beautiful.

I LOVE Star Wars! I've been a fan of Star Wars since I was 8 years old and the first movie was released. I remember my parents took me and I loved it so much, I pestered my aunts to take me 3 more times! It's been a life long obsession. LOL I read all the books and watch everything - the whole Star Wars universe is amazing. Thank goodness for Disney+

I like zodiac inspired art, stickers and washi. I'm a Pisces and I collect things with Pisces symbols and imagery.

Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome variety of cards! I think all but one are new to me (and the one that isn't is a favorite -- the clear one). Sadly my kids are all teenagers now and aren't into my card collection... yet. lol Both of my sister's collect cards, though, and we've done it since we were little kids. I love it!
Comment: great cards!

Comment: You book is well described. Sister jane and her work in Ghana is admirable. It is not a book I shall read, but I am pleased to hear about it. When was it published?

feverfawn rated for Tarot Summer: June (US) on Jun 13, 2022
Comment: The resent swap arrived today! It's unfortunate the first got lost, but thank you for emailing me the pdf and resending the swap!! I appreciate the detailed reading you did for me and the nice pictures of the cards included (I don't think I've ever seen that deck!) plus the extra oracle card draw was a nice touch! Seems like my summer has got some bumps in the road, but I will do my best to follow the advice of the cards given to me :)

Comment: Thank you so much for sending me a card and talking about your first book.
Softawoo rated for BLCnotecard swap on Jun 6, 2022
Comment: Thanks for the note and cute notecard, Melissa! I also sent a notecard to you, which is somewhat rare, but 3 is a lot of partners. I love that you've held onto your reading habit, anyway. I have a master's in literature, but all that forced reading for my degree has killed a lot of my motivation to read for fun. :( I hope to gain it back someday!
mchesser12 rated for I’m Not From Here #8 on Jun 1, 2022
Comment: Thanks for the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania postcard. I’ve never been to Pennsylvania but very close… Ohio.
AmyMCGS rated for WIYM: COVERED BRIDGE PC SWAP (NAKED) on May 31, 2022
Comment: That covered bridge festival sounds interesting, thank you! My Ohio covered bridge postcards must be made by the same company, they look a lot like this one. πŸ™‚
Response: That would not surprise me. I had to go to my Dropbox to find my pics from the festival to see if I could match the bridge. I guess I didn’t think about it being a generic bridge.
tatntole rated for BLCnotecard swap on May 31, 2022
Comment: I remember my mom reading to us (my little sis, little brother, and I) and she took us each week to "Story hour" at our local library, and then we each were allowed to check out some books ourselves. At first, it was picture books but later I was enchanted with fairytales (Grimes Fairytales were my favorite).
messymama rated for BLC: Big Jubilee Read 1 on May 29, 2022
Comment: Thanks for the review! I was reading the same book, so I waited until I was done to read your email. I'm glad you're going to read more of Narayan. I might, too.
Christianmom rated for Garfield Lasagna Swap on May 27, 2022
