It sounds like you can use store bought OR handmade cards, DiscoRia. =) Sometimes people don't allow handmade cards, so it sounds like she's just saying handmade cards are acceptable for this swap. =)

i hope its okay, i bought two cards specifically for this swap that go along with the "ten things to be happy about" they arent blank inside but the message goes along with my ten things.. they arent religious or political messages so i cant imagine it offending anyone i was wondering if this was alright..

Is the 10 things to be happy about -- stuff in GENERAL or stuff like I'd be happy about? Are the fronts of the cards to be w/o words/sayings or can they have stuff on the front?

OK! I'm a Newbie! So I hope I don't get dropped! LOL! Will the host email me the addresses to send my cards to? It probably says somewhere, but I haven't come across that place yet...

@jenCap - after the last day to sign-up partners are assigned by computer, and we all get an email saying so. When you get that, come back to this page and in the box to the right of the swap title you'll see a new link to click on. It directs you to the people you send to (opens in a new window).

@leecytx the card she used for the example has something on the front, so it appears that it's OK..."Thinking of You" is such a general thing that it surely wouldn't offend someone.

just thought of another ? on this... (sorry) we don't write this card OUT to our swap partners right? We just send it to them w/ our lists so THEY can use the card to send someone??

@leecytx - I think it can be general or some things that personally make you happy :-)) And I believe you have to write inside the card itself which is why the coordinator asks for the card to be blank on the inside when you buy it/make it :-))

millie52, the Coordinator has to close out the swap and get the partners assigned. You'll receive an email that the swap has started. you'll go to the swap page and on the right hand side of the page, you'll see "View partners you send to" and you will click on that to see who you send to.

As far as the 10 things to be happy about, the idea was for a general list...something that could apply to everybody. But I am going to leave it up to the sender. If it meant getting partners sooner, I would've offered to angel this one just so we could've gotten it moving. I too wanted to do mine today because I'm always so busy during the week.

Will you perhaps extend the deadline, then, in case I can't finish? I have sort of waited so that I could read the profile of the person I was going to send it to. I will just make them now, but on the off chance it takes longer to get them out...?

I messaged the maintainer and asked her to just hit the button and that if there were any flakers after the fact that I would angel. I hope we get partners soon. I'm waiting to do my cards because I want to send a card my partner will like.

I bought my cards yesterday, but I was hoping to know who my partners were going to be so I can sort of personalize it. But I won't be able to go out monday or tuesday, so I just picked up 2 cards I liked, and I hope my partners like them too.

I think I'm going to have to drop out! I can't believe we don't have partners yet! Yikes! Newbies should've been checked on before now...but I agree, JKupsh, if someone signed up then they should be participating!

This is not fair. It's already the 12th in the evening in Europe and still the partners have not been assigned. And this should all be sent by the 14th...

This is getting ridiculous. All I ask is please don't cancel this altogether because I have already bought and filled out my cards. They are literally sitting on my table, ready to go with stamps and return addresses and sealed. All they need is my partners address.

i have emailed her.. she was online today..maybe she did not think this was going to be as big as it was and is having problems with assigning partners.. I would help her out... i ave made my cards as well..sigh

The good news is, we are all so awesome that, of course, we wouldn't rate down for the cards being sent late in this swap since partners were assigned so late.

mizvicky, it isn't hard to assign partners. You just click a button and the computer assigns the partners for you! I think she should have checked profiles earlier, instead of waiting so late? Just a thought. When I host a swap, I check profiles daily so that I'm ready to go once the deadline passes.

Just wrote her a message. I'm new but I'm volunteering to be an "angel" if anyone gets flaked on. If I hadn't already wrote in the card, I would have dropped by now. As it is, I have no other use for them, so I don't want to waste the money.

I know I won't be rating based on when I receive this swap! =) I don't want my partners to feel rushed =)

At this point, are we really concerned about checking every person? Maybe being flaked is the least of our concerns now--I don't know about you, but I just want to send the things out because I have other things to think about than obsessively checking to see if we've been assigned partners so I can get to the post office. And I filled mine out, so I really can't do anything else with the cards, so that's two wasted cards.

I have just created a private swap with another gal and I. "Card Swap: 10 Happy Things and Tuck-in." I'm now going to make it public and anyone from here who wants to join can and we can mail our cards. I am sick of waiting. You must join right away and send right away. I will make the dealine is the April 25th for international mail. See ya. What this coordinator(Whisper Nova) has done is not fair to all those who have signed up and are more than ready to swap. I just hope that nothing dreadful has happen to the coordinator or in her life. I am praying that is not the case.

I take that back and have deleted that swap. I am not goin to step into this mess. I have dropped this swap as I do not see why it is so hard to press a button and assign partners. I am ticked off as I already did a postal run today. I was going to do another tomorrow if partners were assigned tonight, but still no partners at 11:45 EST North America. This is just bad form by the coordinator. Sorry Whispernova you are way off the mark on this.

I have already mailed out my cards, and have already recieved 2 cards. Thank you to Holly and Mary. I didn't have a problem with this swap. I'm new to this type of thing and hope I don't have any problems in the future. I have sent the coordinator an e-mail and she replied right away.

Hi i live in the UK my cards are in the post but could be anywhere as all flights in and aout of the UK have been grounded for about 5 days now. Just want everyone to know they will be late
