I’m an artist, designer and maker from Southern California. I have always drawn, since an early age, and I still love to draw all sorts of things. One of my favorite pastimes is to think of strange, funny and/or interesting characters--parts of my imagination, life and experiences--and express them on paper with pen and ink. Cartooning has always been a big part of my life; incidentally, I used to draw editorial cartoons for newspaper publication.

These days, I do graphic and web design projects for myself and various clients, including custom invitations and other event pieces; promotional and marketing graphics for online and print use; lightly customized (WordPress) websites.

In addition to the above activities, I love to read, write letters, make greeting cards, bake and cook, listen to favorite music and podcasts, practice yoga, spend time with family, play with the kitties and shop for paper, art supplies, etc. Travel is something I also enjoy, as well as reading about other countries/cities, customs and cultures. I've travelled to many places in the U.S. and abroad and I love meeting friends from all over the world. It all started with exchanging mail with pen pals when I was younger.

Favorite projects: drawing/cartooning/illustrating; writing letters; making and decorating greeting cards, postcards, tags, stationery, envelopes, gift wrap, etc.; making books/journals; carving stamps; stamping and embossing; printmaking; painting; mixed media; marbling paper; making garlands; sewing; letterpress; collage art; pressing flowers; collecting mail and stamps from around the world.
