I am new to pocket letters, do we do 9 ATC's that are valentine day theme, then decorate the sleeve with stickers or such, then put goodies in the pockets including a letter? Oh, and we need to add a piece of chocolate.

Should the chocolate be something that is more flat so it doesn't get smashed by the mail machine. Otherwise it's not going to fit in a long envelope.

Not crazy about dark chocolate, too bitter.

You can fill the pockets with 9 different ATCs as long as they stick with the Valentine's Day theme OR you can decorate a page big enough to cut into the 9 slots and cut it and put it in there---look on YouTube for examples if you are confused as to what a pocket letter is. Just make sure however you decorate it-it must stick to red/pink colors and the Valentine theme. Don't just put one sticker on it and call it done.

As for the chocolate---this is a package swap-type 3. You will not be sending this in a standard sized envelope. Your Valentine's Day candy you send should be bigger than one small piece of chocolate. The candy you send won't fit inside the back pocket of your pocket letter-it is in addition to your pocket letter.

Hope that clairfies some things! Don't forget to post what kind of candy/chocolate you like. If you have me as a partner--please don't send anything with nuts in it! I love peanut butter and chocolate!

Questions ???

  1. Just so I'm clear on this the pockets has to be either red or pink or red and pink. No other colors added?

  2. Also each pocket has to be decorated with more then just a page from something cut up into 9 pieces right? I've gotten PL's from swappers that have just cut up a page and that was it. No other decorations added. I for one don't consider that as really having decorated the pages.

  3. For the chocolate you say we are to send more then 1 piece. So do we send a unopened bag or box of chocolate? Valentine heart box?

I love Reeses peanut butter cups, Snickers peanut butter bars, Hugs, Peppermint patties.

No peppermint, coconut or dark chocolate please.

thebeholder 01/18/2016 #

The pockets must have paper and embellishments/design. Needs to stick to Valentine's Day colors. Just putting scrapbook paper or one sticker on is not a pocket letter. I have a Valentine's Day one I made tonight if anyone wants to see an example. Email me at nrhymes29@gmail.com to see the picture.

Candy must be in addition to your pocket letter. There is lots of Valentine's Day theme candy at the stores. Doesn't have to be a big bag---just a candy bar or Reese's or whatever your partner likes. You can even send a heart shaped box with different small candies inside.

Hope this clears everything up.

I love caramel. Caramel with chocolate works too.

No dark chocolate
