Basics: Single mom of an over active 10 year old. I teach art to Preschoolers up to 6th grade. Own a house with my older sister and her 13 year old daughter. We have two black cats ( Elvis and Angel) and two crazy dogs (Baby and The Chad).

What do I do with my time? Well I am a Girl scout Leader, Artist, taxi driver to swim meets, basketball games, dance class, drama camp and book stores (that one is for my neice and myself). I love to read, anyone want to do some personal swapping with paper backs I read everything!! When the sun is out in its full blazing glory you can find me at the lake on a raft with my younger sister and the girls. If I'm not driving my daughter around, teaching, or at the lake you can find me in my crafting space just creating.

As for Swaps: I have recieved a wide variety of items in the last 3 years of my swapping days. I have swapped on several sites, I've restricted myself to crafters,org and swap-bot. I love handmade with love and creativity items. My experience has been fair on this site, I've recieved some very thoughtful items and I have recieved some NOT so thoughtful items. But I know that is the risk I run when signing up for any swap. I swap so I can expend some creative energy and share some joy with others around the world. I love to recieve surprises in the mail, but I'm also realistic about what may come and what may not come. I'm not picky just don't send me stuff you would personally throw away.

So who is misty? I am in love with classic movie stars such as James Dean, Montgomery Clift, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable. I love to watch black and whites, The Thin Man Series is my all time favorite, anytime I'm down and need a giggle I put anything with William Powell on tv. It may surprise you though to find out I'm 30 I've always liked the idea of the yesteryears since I was a kid. My ideal car is the 57 chevy. I love to laugh and make people laugh. I could spend days in art museums and even more time when I have my girls with me. I don't think I have favorite colors, one color combination I don't use a lot of is black and white. But that isn't to say I wouldn't use it. I'm not much of a girlie girl, however my daughter is. I just don't have time for fixing hair, make up and dressy clothes.

My favorite memory: I was boiling tea one evening and the whistle blew on the tea pot. Before I could take it off the stove my daughter came down and said "I love the sound of a whistling tea pot, don't you mom?" That is my little bird, marching to her drum!!
