After many years as a healthcare professional, I love being retired. :0D

I'm primarily drawn by textures and colour-- in art and life. I love the scent of lilacs and of dinner cooking.

In terms of style,I enjoy classic, vintage, English country, French country, quirky or fun/funky but not "cute-sy" .

I love reading(mysteries,historical fiction, journals,memoirs,some chic-lit) live theatre, foreign films, walks, farmers' markets, Scrabble, NYST crossword puzzle, visiting local art/craft galleries and studios, new foods and new recipes. And, I lose track of time in bookstores, antique/2nd hand/thrift stores and art/craft supply stores. :0D

classical(Bach,Beethoven,Mozart,Borodin,Greig, classic folk(PP&M,Weavers...), Leonard Cohen, DoWop, Broadway musicals, campfire rounds... :o)

Smoke Signals, Calendar Girls, Alfred Hitchcock's mysteries, anything with David Niven, Finding Nemo, Shrek(I loved the donkey!), Victor Victoria, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat(and musicals generally),foreign films, classics.....

chunky/altered/handcrafted books; atc's, handmade postcards; photography, collage, mixed media, embroidery(blackwork/samplers). Though I've yet to "go there", I LOVE crazy quilts-- so much variety, and all that embroidery![chuckle,chuckle}
