Hi, I'm Amanda, from Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States. I'm 38. I'm married and have two darling kiddos who wander alongside me in an adventure called homeschooling, Charlotte Mason style! My son is 8 and my daughter is 7.

I am a Christ-follower.

When I'm not schooling or preparing for school, I'm reading, crafting, or playing a board game. I love podcasts and have recently fallen in love with audiobooks.

I love a variety of books. The classics have nestled their way into my soul. Some favorites are Pride & Prejudice and A Christmas Carol. Modern favorites are Dear Mr. Knightley, by Katherine Reay; the Paper Magician series, by Charlie N. Holmberg; and the Jackaby series by William Ritter.

I dabble in a lot of crafts. I have my mom's old sewing machine, which is a workhorse I am just beginning to understand. I like embroidery and, to a lesser extent, cross-stitch (though I'm very slow because of arthritis in my hands.) I really like paper embroidery. I've tried crochet, but haven't put much time into it.

I like to paint, and have recently tried watercolors. I find them a tricky but satisfying medium. I want to explore collage on postcards. Also, mixed media postcards.

Other than that I really just like DIY type crafts, whether to spruce up my home, as gifts, or to just relax and experiment.

• I like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.
• I love candles, particularly those that smell like baked goods!
• Chocolate will forever be a deep and abiding love.
• Books, bookmarks, book darts.
• Journals, pens, stationary, stickers, washi tape, etc.
• I would love to collect some paper ephemera.
• Favorite color: brown (especially when combined with pink, blue, or purple)
• Favorite animal: squirrels!!!
• I like glitter, especially metallic glitter.
• Anything for my kids will always be appreciated!
