“To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart.” ― Phyllis Theroux
Hello! I am a Midwest transplant (from Madison, Wisconsin) enjoying life in the glorious Pacific Northwest.
I enjoy writing, sending, and receiving snail mail and crafts! I have been participating in postcard clubs for some time. A dear friend recommended swap-bot. I have met so many authentic and creative people who love snail mail like I do!
I love to organize and make lists and can get lost in a craft project or writing letters.
I am part of the Wandering Society and love to put on my walking shoes and just start walking, to discover new views and treasures of nature.
My obsession is that I love decorated boxes, small bags made of fabric, maps, mesh, newspapers AND also envelopes made from maps or recycled books. In short, the outside of a container always holds so much hope, doesn't it?
I always send correspondence on time and want to make each one is something that will delight or make some difference in your day! If you don't get something from me - please email and I will check into it or send another!
Every best wish! Life IS good!
Penpals, especially fun, authentic, interesting people, who like to think about the world they live in. I have met so many wonderful people with lifestyles and ideas very different than my own - it is wonderful! I also enjoy conversation, especially over coffee/tea and baked taste treat delights.
It is fun to get to know people who are different from me as well as those of you who share many things in common. Love long walks or hikes (especially in big cities, on mountain trails, or on the beach. Oregon was made for hiking!)
My favorite things include:
Note cards, stationery, stickers, postcards: with images of books, tea, crown, cupcake, frog, or coffee images.
I especially like images of BOOKs and women or children reading or women reading to children.
good coffee or tea
interesting books (of all kinds)
interesting homes and gardens (architecture)
funny stories or cartoons
beautiful (and vintage) stationery and cards
items to make stationery, albums or cards
interesting postage stamps (unused)
pansies, roses and violets
journals, office supplies, planners, fun paperclips, pens, folders, fun envelopes, sharpies, brads, stickers, die cuts, etc.
tote bags, boxes, buttons, scarfs, costume jewelry, charms, letters, crowns, alphabets, gift bags or tags, sticky notes, scrapbook paper, new postage stamps, vintage jewelry, old black and white photos, new unused postcards, or old vintage new.
I like little things I can put in journals or planners.
I collect quotes and make individual journals photos and quotes for friends and family. When you write, please send a favorite quote or concept that has you thinking. I will send you one in return! If it isn't part of a swap, I will send or trade quotes if you contact me!
A thought:
“How would your life be different if...you began each day by thanking someone who has helped you? Let today be the day...You make it a point to show your gratitude to others. Send a letter or card, make a call, send a text or email, tell them in person...do whatever you have to do to let them know you appreciate them.” ― Steve Marabol
I have been asked what I would rather not get - that is hard because my interests are varied and I like to get surprises, things I have not seen before. However, this is my short list: - I rarely would use wrapping paper. I use cloth bags, recycled favorite paper bags and decorated boxes to use for holiday and birthday gift wrapping. - Vintage postcards or cards are welcome - they can show signs of wear but no writing please. - I am married to a chef - would rather not get recipes or recipe cards unless it is part of the swap.

Debbie! I got your fabulous letter accompanied by a big pile of goodness! WOW! You really made me feel special today. You are a sweetheart! I will send something back to you, I promise. Maybe not a long letter (I have the attention span of a chipmunk), but perhaps some mail art? You really did make my day. What a kind soul you are!
