Likes: Blue/green/purple and orange. Animals of all types, especially unusual ones, dolphins, wolves, elephants, turtles and bees (those are my totems). People writing in their native language and me trying to figure it out. Kawaii with cute animals (don't consider them "cutesy".) I like fireflies and Firefly, dragonflies and dragons. Stars, hearts, birds, eggs, spirals. Grumpy cat cracks me up. Glitter is great.

Dislikes: girly, cutesy stuff (please note the "girly" qualifier - I love Kawaii!). Religious stuff. Anything sweetened with aspartame. Black teas.

Also, I am very adversely affected by perfumes so please do not send anything scented. We're talking multiple chemical sensitivities here.

I knit. I sew. If you visit my blog, you will see I adore taking pictures. I also art journal, draw, paint, papercraft, do digital scrapbooking and collage, needle felting and embroidery. I enjoy smashbooking, SN@P stories stuff, tape, etc. I just love to make things! I love things that have potential (though that gets me in trouble when I run out of storage space!) I love getting a chance to use my own photographs.

I'm a lover of life and learning. I'm very curious. I tend to make deep friendships that last a very long time (I have friendships older than some of my friends!). I am a truck driver, team driving with my DH. We have been married 6 years now, but we haven't been able to spend a lot of time together until now, as he used to solo drive. I have two dogs (Phoebe and Tucker) and a cat (Hobie). The dogs are with us on the road, and Hobie stays home. Since I am a truck driver, I'm out a lot (up to 3 weeks at a time) and as such may not be able to rate immediately. I have plenty of time to create and mail, but rating is slow as a result of my job.

I will rate as soon as I get home and receive items (see above for truck driving/on the road discussion). If you don't receive something from me, please let me know before going and rating low. I will fix it!!

I love pretty much all music. I prefer songs with stories in the lyrics. I love fiddles and cellos and a capella. My very favorite artists are Yo-Yo Ma, Bobby McFerrin, Garth Brooks, Lori McKenna, Lunasa, Taarka, The Chieftains, Willie Nelson, BareNaked Ladies, Crosby Stills and Nash...and I could go on and on. :)

Art books, craft books, natural history, Tudor England, the Pharohs of Egypt, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Sandford, Diane Ackerman, Jon Katz. I read The Hunger Games and the Twilight books and like the former better than the latter. I enjoy audio books a lot because I can read and knit at the same time and they make time on the road more interesting. I also enjoy my Kindle app because then I am NEVER without a book!
