These are awesome little crafts to do and so much can be done with them too! Teesha Moore is an artist who created these patches and covers her art journals with them. However, I've seen many other projects with them too.

The basic gist of them is to take 2 pieces of fabric and a piece of batting (although I'm sure that felt or something similar would be fine too) and make a tiny quilt with the pieces. You don't have to be able to sew by machine, in fact i'd say 99% of the patches I've seen are hand-sewn. Also, it actually looks ok if you embroider it through both front and back of the pieces as they most likely will be used to put together another craft. The possibilities are really endless.....

There's a board on my pinterest titled Teesha Moore Patches or you can go to craftster.org and search teesha moore for ideas and inspiration. If you have any questions, please ask me. I check my messages every day, so I'll answer as soon as I get them.

You'll have 1 partner and make your partner 3 patches in her favorite color. Be sure to list your favorite colors in the comment section when you sign up for the swap. Since these are small, they're fairly quick to put together. Patches are sender's choice, so feel free to start when you sign up.

The not so fun stuff.........no recent 1's at all, no 3's in the last 6 months, if you have some and feel you should be able to participate in the swap, contact me and I'm sure we can work something out :) That being said, only sign up if you intend to complete the swap and have fun!

and I'm hosting a swap at my blog: www.robinpichelmayer.blogspot.com

(if it's ok to post that here?)

What size should the patches be? (even just a "max X, min X" would work).

BennysMumma 08/ 7/2013 #

@JLVerde - any size is fine unless the swap specifies certain size/shape, so just have fun with them :)

@robinpich no problems, you can post here :)

Mine are purple. @robinpich I would like to join the swap when I have the information about the dates for joining and due date for mailing.

I really love novelty fabrics, so I'd love novelty patches. Any colors are fine. Please no religious images.

Turquoise or teal :0)

I love teal and raspberry, but any colors, any style, any theme is just great!

My favorite colors are red and turquoise, but I'd like a black and white one as well. Any theme is fine.

I like orange and blues. I like them together because they pop, but separate is fine. Black and white is good as well.
