Update 06/08/11: Over the past month my grandmother went into hospice and has passed away 3 days ago. My grandfather is also hanging by a thread and is not expected to remain in this world for very much longer. That said, my swaps are late getting out into the world. Please know that I will send them, but it may take me a bit longer.

I was kicked out of Corporate America and now I am hitting the school books, I graduate with my undergrad in Non Profit Leadership with a emphasis in fundraising this summer. Now I am working on my masters apps with the dream of getting my Masters in Public Policy from Northwestern in Chicago.

I am also an art school drop out.

Lately I have become obessed with putting local food grown by local farmers into jars and then sealing them in hot water, while serenading lovers with protest songs. I love exploring the topic of ethical eating and how it relate to social classes in the US.

I am in love with everything WW2 Victory Garden and more so the art that is coming out that is inspired by it.

If you can't find me in my garden then check either Mercy Seat Tattoo where I am getting some ink by Andrew or Chris or the Rime Tibetan Buddhist Center kicking it with monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastary.

One day I will retire (sooner than later) in India, tattoos on my arms, bald head, mala around my wrist and robes on my back. Truly embracing the Sangha, the Dharma, and the Big B himself.

Random Note: I do not think homemade postcards are a single picture glued on a piece of cardboard. I do however, get really excited when someone does collage/ mixed media on found materials and sends those through the mail. Check out artist Traci Bunkers for more an idea: www.tracibunkers.com

A note about postcards.. I love them, however, I don't love tourist or state postcards. Like I don't like them at all. Again... snarky is awesome- think The Bunny Suicide stuff.... or think pretty- art type cards.

Stationary - More elegant card stock based. Or more of a mod type design with dots or stripes are always a win.

Funky Birds- on cards, notecards, painted on canvas. United Feathered Friends are a good example of funky birds

Colored Glass Jars or unique tins/ jars/ containers made of any material.

Anything of The Guadalupe Mary and ANYTHING in the vein of Dia De Los Muertos.

What's local in your land? Skip the box stores and venture into the lands of small shops with the owners behind the counter.

Local Coffee, whole bean, dark roasted. YUM!

Zinnia, Marigold, Poppy, Daisey flower seeds. I can never have to many!

Tea, I love all types. But if sending loose tea, please only send complete packages that are still factory sealed. And please do not send the 1 serving bags that are not sealed, unless you are sending the whole, factory sealed box.

ATC's, Tag's, inches and Zines. I am sad to say that I have little experience of those and would like to explore them a bit.

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to put something like this, but I found that I do.

I dislike anime, cute big eyed cartoon characters (like Hello Kitty and Kawii (sp?))

I am not a FB or Label type of gal. If I get them I will attempt to pass them on, at the very least know that they will be placed in a recycling bin.

Not a huge fan of cartoon stamps or child-like rubber stamps.

I kinda hate Disney, like a lot. I love Pixar - I loathe Disney. Actually PIxar is about the only cartoon org that I dig. I am also not partial to Elmo, Pooh, or his friends.

Smoke - scented things. Nothing is worse than opening a great package and it smelling so bad.

Not a fan of Bath and Body works type things. However, a huge fan of ZUM products.

Also, please do not send me anything that was purchased from a Wal-mart. I rather receive nothing than something from them.
