My name is Stephanie and my obsession with needing to create gets down right scary at times. Photography, writing, crocheting, mixed media collage, baking, scrapbooking...I have to have a project going on for my sanity. Creating soothes my soul. I look forward to meeting others who feel the same.

I'm 38, married, with eleven and eighteen-year-old girls and live in sunny Sacramento. I love Northern California and we visit San Francisco and Lake Tahoe often. We have a cabin at Lake Almanor. I LOVE food, cooking, baking and eating out.

I am working seriously at publishing a young adult novel.

The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Weezer....Enya and other new age music (anything soothing)....celtic harp...classical (mozart, debussy)...Ella Fitzgerald...fairly eclectic, I guess.

I write young adult fiction, so I read a ton of it, but can't say I have favorites, just lots that I've enjoyed and loved. Amy Tan, Alice Hoffman, Truman Capote for adult authors.

Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, The Count of Monte Cristo, Nacho Libre, Moliere.

Don't watch a ton of this. Project Runway is the only one I try to catch regularly. Masterpiece Theater.

ATCs! Mixed media collage, magazine collage. I enjoy scrapbooking. I like FUNKY stuff, indie art zines, vintage, retro, pens,pens and more pens...beautiful papers, cheeky things that make me laugh. I'm always on the lookout for cool ephemera, anything I can stick on an ATC.

I like work that has been given the extra special touch. I like unusual techniques and accents. I don't like cutsie or simplistic images (okay, I like cute as much as the next person - kawaii, lol cats, but that's not what I'm hoping to find here). I like detail, but not busy.

I appreciate good design in everything: clothes, architecture, art, cars, decor...I don't like run-of-the-mill things.
