Comment: The poetry book sounds interesting! My dad's family came from Czech, and I've always tried to find and read Czech folk tales, poetry, history, when I can find them in English. I'll have to go searching for this one. :) Thanks for sharing you list. :)

Comment: Thanks so much for sharing your stories. The one about Mozart and the coincidences was so cool! I LOVED the Three Investigators books!!! My brother and I read them over and over. We also tried having a club, but sadly, in real life, kids don't really have access to nifty haunted castles. Especially kids in the middle of the suburbs! But mainly, I wanted that hideout with the fence and the other sneaky entrances. *sigh* It's so cool that you get to meet someone from Postcrossing - that seems less personal to me than, say, SwapBot, so it's awesome. Anyway, I intend to respond to you, though it may take a couple of weeks. Meantime, thanks for the super cool monkeys, super neat and legible writing, and interesting stories.

Comment: Thank you very much for the detailed list! :) Sometimes I also like to read biographies, although the last time I did is already a while ago. Great that you found recommendable ones :) I know Paddington bear, the stories really are charming. The other book you mentioned sounds really cool, about the time travelling letters! I'll definitely put that on my to read list. I can understand you though, often it is better to let books give no explanation for stuff like timetravelling than give a not well thought through one. I wish you a wonderful week!
Response: As for the time travelling letters, I remember reading its review on a book blog and although I didn't look for it actively, I remembered it when I noticed it in a library and decided to try it. Turned out well!

Comment: Thanks so much for your lists. :) I like how you organize your email and include some of the cover art as well. Your book choices reminded me of a book I read many years ago, called "Kitty My Rib" by Jane Mall. Have you heard of it?
Response: "Kitty My Rib"... no, it doesn't sound familiar. But the thing is, book titles are sometimes traslated quite "creatively", so maybe it's here under another name... hmmmm, that gave me an idea for a post on my blog about translations of the titles. If we don't talk just about the books, I remember a CD with songs from children fairy tales, cartoons, etc. which was in Czech and I didn't recognize the song by name (only when listening to it), as they changed the name of the family whose members are the main characters. :D

Beata, what a great and interesting card! I actually learned something about your country from it! :OD I ususllay consider vintage to be before the 80's, but this one counts since the whole history of the country changed since it was made, LOL!
