I am a full-time wife to an amazing husband and a full-time mom to a beautiful college-age daughter, an innovative 13-year-old son, and a silly 9-year-old daughter (and a 115-pound German Shepherd!)... and I work full time as a writer and instructor. In a nutshell: I am a busy -- but VERY HAPPY -- gal! :)

I enjoy scrapbooking and paper crafts.... but have not been able to make much time for it. I still love all the papers and doo-dads and make my own cards now and again! I love washi tape, rubber stamps, and ink and have been exploring all the fun things to do with that!

I also like to paint, but so far, it's just been at Sips n' Strokes, where I have a guide and all the materials ready for me! ;)

I used to cross stitch a lot, but I'm not too talented with sewing, knitting, or otherwise.

I also just like to DO crafty things myself, like make frames, wreaths, jewelry, bookmarks, ornaments, etc., etc.

I love gray, blue, and sage green. My house is FULL of those colors! I wear a lot of charcoal and gray and silver jewelry. I also love polka-dots, stripes, toille, and damask patterns! And I am a sock snob! I LOVE fun socks - fuzzy ones, patterned ones, crazy ones, long or short ones (size XL or women's 11, please)!

I love chocolate (especially dark chocolate, Dove, and Cadbury), taffy, Peeps, gummies, and just about any type of candy! ;) I can't live without lemonade, cheesecake, pizza (good pizza), and Diet Mt. Dew or Diet Dr. Pepper!

Other likes include: Disney (I used to work at Disney Store... then at WDW Jungle Cruise and later the Polynesian; my favorite rides are Haunted Mansion and Thunder Mountain.); I collect Disney pins, Tsum Tsums, and all things Eeyore; I also love Tokidoki Unicornos, scented candles, animals (ladybugs, bees, butterflies, giraffes, penguins, pandas, dogs, turtles), pens, pencils, frames, and marcasite jewelry.

I am a Christian. My favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love collecting quotes; I have many books of favorite quotes, and I have words and phrases displayed all over my home!

And I love baking desserts and doing little things for people to make them smile!

We have not had cable TV in our house (by choice) for over 20 years, so we don't spend too much time in front of the talking box. I do love surfing the web, however. I enjoy shopping online and/or through catalogs!

I like spending time outdoors... even just sitting outside in nice weather is great! I LOVE to read (I am a magazine junky, but I also try to make time read at least one book every few months). I sometimes ride my bike with my husband, fish, or kayak. We also took aikido together. I'm a blue belt! ;) But my favorite hobby is shooing sports and teaching others to be safe with firearms! I'm a neat freak, so I enjoy tidying and organizing.... or at least I enjoy the results of tidying and organizing!

And most of all, I love spending time with my family!
