I'm always looking for a penpal to exchange braille letters with!

Member since april 2006 (before those hearts and stars came up), but I always take it easy with signing up; Sometimes I don't join swaps for a few months, and sometimes... I'm back in full swing! :)

For me swap-bot is about sending gifts to people and make them happy. If I receive something in return, that's a Real Gift. But "getting" is not my main goal here.

I'm a 31 yrs old female, living in a great city in the middle of The Netherlands, with my husband and my (guide)dog. I like to do/make mail art, book arts and art journals, and to send out postcards/letters to strangers via postcardx.net or sendsomething.net.

I love bright blue & white and also natural materials like wood, stone, glass, etc. I like kitschy things too. :)

I practice zen buddhism. Every wednesday evening I go to the "zendo", where I practice meditation and listen to my teacher's talk.

My perfect holiday is camping in nature with my husband, dog and our tent, with some good books to read and a journal to write in. Oh, how I love summer, sitting outside with my bare feet in the green grass! When not camping, I love to sit on one of those many terraces (tables outdoor) along the canal in the city-centre, enjoying my drink and being together with friends.

And every morning I truly enjoy my cup of green tea.

I'm easy pleased. I think it's magical that you spent some time of your life to send me something, in the knowledge we'll never meet. That's really a wonderful gift. Thank you!

Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. I absolutely adore Murakami and I've read all of his books which are translated in Dutch. Can't wait until "they" translate more of his works!

Another favorite book of mine is... my own! My book "Zho" is a handwritten and handdrawn art journal about a year of my life as a legally deafblind woman. It's published by A3boeken in The Netherlands. ISBN: 978 90 77408 48 3. I'm very proud of it!
