Hello! I'm a married 50-something and budding plant mama (no pun intended). I've been a writer all my life, both with pen-pals and journals. There's just something special about a physical letter in the mailbox. I usually have an iced coffee nearby if not in hand and a weakness for all the cups, mugs and tumblers. I'm a devoted (paper) planner keeper.
My husband I share our home with two 18-month old male tabbies, Simon and Milo. When people ask if they're brothers as they look so alike, we explain, no, they were cell mates at the Humane Society. They get along great and get into all sorts of mischief. We're certain we've heard one say to the other, "Here, hold my beer."
My husband and I also enjoy taking our RV out whether it's for a few days or a couple of weeks.
I've had a needle and thread in my hands since I was 4. I don't know what I would do without this hobby in my life and can thank the women in my life for passing on their skills. While I've dabbled in needlepoint, plastic canvas and crochet, x-stitch, quilting and knitting are my go-to's. I'd like to try my hand at beading one of these days because, hey, what's one more rabbit hole to fall through?!
I tend to read a lot of chick lit (love Emily Henry!!) but can thank reading challenges from last year and this year for expanding my reading horizons to include cozy mysteries (Agatha Christie, Louise Penny), WWII novels, contemporary fiction and non-fiction.
Hoping to swap for: note cards, letter sets, stickers, washi tape, journals...heck, all the pen-pal, Journaling and planning supplies, lol.
Beads, charms, embroidery floss and 100% quilting cotton (1.5" square and larger) are also welcome. Favorite colors are purple, aqua and all shades of green.
While I appreciate the thought, please don't send any religious items or fragrances (allergies). Not into goth, Kawaii, teacher/reward/kiddie items.
I've been joining more and more tea swaps so thought I would add some info...
I enjoy black, green and herbal teas, especially sleepy time teas and flavors that work well iced. I'm fine with either bagged or loose teas as long as the package is factory sealed.
I do love coffee and am happy to receive individual packets/sachets of instant coffee.
