About Me

I have dabbled in different types of art since childhood but just recently started working with mixed media. I’m still learning and aiming to use it for abstract art work.

Things that I like

Butterflies, birds, trees (the weirder the roots or the branches the better), botanicals in general.

I collect vintage stuff like book pages, tickets, photos, lace, ribbons etc. Things you can add to paper.

Lately I've been meaning to try fabric on my work, especially naturally dyed fabric with different marks and texture.

I have a great trouble collecting quotes. If you have a favorite quote I would love if you share it with me.

In terms of color, my art is usually bright but I really admire people that use a more neutral palette. I appreciate the calmness it brings and the peaceful feeling. That is probably because I cannot do it myself. So if you tend to use a neutral palette on your work, I would love to get a sample of what you do.

Favorite Crafts

Bookbinding, Tapestry, Painting, Watercolor, Sewing, Ceramics and Mixed Media. Not enough time to practice them all.

Response: After thinking that I needed to create a xmas gothic theme and spending several hours trying to figuring out how to do it I needed to use some of the gothic images I found. Glad to know I should worry only about the shape of the ATC from now on.
