Hi! I’m Stephanie, a gothic witchy girl from Texas! I chose the user name PrertyAlice because Alice is my middle name and I already have her username elsewhere. I love to read, garden organically, cook and bake, listen to music, watch Netflix and YouTube and of course craft! I love Harry Potter, mythical creautres (mermaids, dragons, fairies, unicorns, vampires, etc.), urban legends, florals and botanicals, butterflies, Tim Burton, gothic decor and fashion, and all things witchy. I love nature and all animals and have a sweet cat named Jade but my favorite animals are bats. My favorite colors are black, purple, dark red and thrquoise. I also like light rosey pink on vintage and shabby chic projects.

I consider myself to be an eclectic Pagan witch but am open minded to all religious and spiritual paths. I love herbs and making herbal remedies. I like natural items like crystals, shells, feathers, etc. I use candles (love beeswax ones), oils, sachets and love working on my book of shadows.

Craft styles I like best are vintage, shabby chic, gothic, steampunk, macabre (Bones, bats, etc.) and creepy Halloween. I also like vintage and traditional Christmas themes during the holidays. I recently discovered Creepmas (creepy Christmas) and love the idea! I love stationary and writing letters to my pen pals so letter sets are always welcome. When I can I enjoy using wax seals on my letters too. I collect enamel pins and am trying to build my collection. I also collect world currency and postcards (written and stamped) and am trying to get all 50 US states and as many from the rest of the world as I can. Another couple things I collect are crystal gems and skeleton keys.

My favorite crafts are jewelry making and papercrafting- things like cards, flip books, zines, embellishments and I want to get into book binding. I would love to be able to make my own leather bound book eventually. I like making jewelry using real gemstones. I have very sensitive skin so I really enjoy creating my own bath and beauty products like soaps, shampoo, conditioner, bath bombs, deodorant, balms, etc. using essential oils. I create my own recipes and designs and do everything as naturally as possible. I also enjoy mail art and creating fun envelopes to send out.

Over the last year or so I’ve starting to get into sewing with my machine and making small projects. I’d like to make a quilt and eventually get into making my own clothing.

I really like fiction, thriller, distopian, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, horror and some young adult novels. Some of my favorite books are the Harry Potter series and Shoot the Moon by Billie Letts among some others. Some authors I enjoy are Sarah Dessen, Laurie Halse Anderson, L.J. Smith, Billie Letts, Charlene Harris, Kathy Reichs, Scott Westerfeld and more. I usually listen to audiobooks rather than reading physical books but both are great.

I love Tim Burton movies like Edward Scizzorhands, Sweeney Todd, The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride. I also like the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Alice in Wonderland, Practical Magic, The Skelleton Key, Lovely Bones, The Virgin Suicides, and more.

I like mystery, suspence, sci-fi, and fantasy shows best. I really like the shows by Joss Whedon. Some of my favorite TV shows are Haven, Buffy, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Firefly, Tru Calling, Dollhouse, Supernatural, Warehouse 13, Lost, True Blood, House, Dexter, Sherlock, Sanctuary, The Sarah Connor Chronicals, Merlin, Bones, Psych, The Finder, Hart of Dixie, Saving Grace and many more! I don’t really have many favorite actors but a couple are Eliza Dushku, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp.

I love receiving all sorts of mail. Letters and hand made cards are great. I would love to receive crafty items like washi tape, stickers including alphabets, scrapbook paper, die cuts and metal dies, embellishments, etc.

Some other ideas are sealing wax, postcards, stationary, handmade envelopes, colored pens, enamel pins for my collection (guaranteed heart), and gemstone beads (glass are fine but I’m not a fan of plastic beads). Organic seeds (especially heirlooms) for my garden would be nice too (I grow fruits, veggies, herbs, and some flowers). I also like to receive nice handmade goodies like pocket letters, flip books, loaded bags/envelopes, zines, junk journals, etc.

I feel the need to put this here just so y’all are aware. One thing I really dislike are strong scents because they give me a horrible migraine so please don’t send anything scented. Neons also hurt my eyes and head. I’m not really into childlike craft items like cartoon or character stickers. (I do like other stickers though). I have asthma and am allergic to smoke so no incense please. I’m highly allergic to lavender, jasmine, peanuts, cigarette smoke and all metals except sterling silver. PLEASE NO FOODS WITH ASPARTAME, NUTRASWEET, AMINOSWEET, NEOTAME, OR PHENYLALANINE. I am highly allergic. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t send any food or drink items unless the swap specifically calls for it. Thanks so much and happy swapping everyone!
