Faith means trusting that God has a plan for me. I may not always understand the plan, especially when it includes hardships and pain and loss. But faith is what gets me through, knowing that God has a purpose for me and a way to get me through the trails and maybe even something better on the other side.
I love Romans 15:13: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This verse has given me hope during hard times (like whem my mom passed away). Not only did it help comfort me, but it also gave me hope that I would be filled with hope of better things to come.
Just wanted to let you know I received your waterfall postcard today. Thank you. The recipes are taking a little longer to get to me but I am sure the post office will come through.

These a few of the verses I find encouraging. That proverbs one was my mantra when I stepped out on faith to leave my job and go into a ministry training program back in 2007
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.
I Chronicles 16v34
I love this verse it has helped me in many ways, and knowing God is there for me. To have God in my life is wonderful and that he loves us.

One of my favorite verses is Galatians 6:9-10. It reminds me to never give up doing good to all people but especially to fellow believers.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
