I'm a salt and pepper haired grandmother of 9, all of whom are involved in a number of activities when not in school. As for me, I enjoy listening to audio books, small loom weaving, penpaling (been penpaling since I was 9 years old), cardmaking, iris folding, writing haiku poetry, and sometimes making ATCs. I don't cook but enjoy reading recipe books, am constantly on diets I don't follow, have chronic back pain which keeps me pretty sedentary at times, and love a varriety of television shows except for reality tv. Pandora is my go-to online music station and I love music of all genres. I'm looking very forward to swapping with you!

I enjoy all genres of music, even opera. I think I was born with a flute in my hand as I started playing when I was in 3rd grade and continued until I was in my late 30's. By that time I was playing all of the band instruments. My first career was as a jr high and high school band director.

As for the types of music I most enjoy, I love old and new folk music, older rock and roill, even some heavy metal (thanks to having 2 sons who have loved it for years and years). I enjoy old and new country western, Boz Scaggs, Janis Ian, Leonard Cohn, Pentatonix, Gospel, Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, and so so many other individuals and musical groups.

I love to read, especially crafts books of all kinds and cookbooks. And, I also love to read obituaries, in books as well as online and in newspapers. I love to listen to audio books of all kinds and enjoy historial fiction, biographies, novels, just all different kinds. I don't purchase books anymore because of their high cost. Instead, I use my wonderful local library.

I'm not much of a comedy movie fan though my favorite movie is Dodgeball. I mostly enjoy dramas, action movies and sci fi as well. I watch movies mostly on Netflix and Amazon Prime as its too expensive to go to the movies plus, my local movie theater is closing in February. I do, on occassion take three of my grandchildren to the movies and as VERY special treat,

Favorite movies have inclluded Top Gun, the Star Trek movies, Star Wars series, Terminator movies, even the Transformers movies! While I'd love to be able to list more movies I've enjoyed and do enjoy, they'd be far too numerous. Just suffice it to say I enjoy movies.

I love alot of different television programs, eg. Law & Order (reruns and current), Jeopardy, Young Sheldon, the current reboot of Night Court, to name a few and many many reruns of very old and old television series and movies. I'm not a fan of reality tv shows, some comedies, enjoy BBC, Animal Planet, science fiction shows, dramas and action shows. . Ask me first if you wonder if there's a particular program I might like or dislike.

Crafts I like? Oh, so many to mention! I do card making, paper iris folding, small lap loom weaving, crochet, some mail art and creative correspondence, doing all kinds of crafts with my 4 yo to 9 yo grandkids, to name just a few. I'm not a fan of beading, jewelry making, drawing painting or adult coloring. As a younger person Iloved doing needlework but today my eyes just can't manage the different canvases.

I love my family - my 3 adult children and 9 grandchildren. I love my significant other.

I like all colors but lean towards silver grey, blues, roses, and purples. Nothing gold because it doesn't go with my silver/black hair.

I love coffee and some flavored creamers but not flavored coffee. I enjoy teas. I love unusual foreign cookies, reading cookbooks (but not cooking) and craft books, penpaling, watching tv, listening to audio books.

I enjoy hanging out at bookstores, the library and coffee shops.

I love "zines" of any kinds and make some myself.

I love reading obituaries, the quikier the better, I'm always happy when someone includes one or two in a letter or card they;ve sent me.

I dislike ingenuous people, gossips, violence, and discrimination.

I'm not a fan of bad, inconsiderate and clueless drivers :-)

I dislike wasting my money on crafts that don't turn out the way I'd like them to. Unfortunately though, this happens to me alot! LOL

Actually, there isn't alot I dislike.

Considering I'm 72 yr old, I really need nothing at this stage in my life however, as far as what I might like to receive should you wish to send something?

I'd love to receive 1, short original poems written by you, 2. handmade greeting cards 3. a handmade zine 4. postcards (vintage and current), 5. postage stamps (canalled-vintage through current) 6. mail art 7. ATCs (artist trading cards), 8. small handmade collage art and 9. handmade faux postage.

And finally, I'm an avid penpaler. If you are too, I'd love to start exchanging letters with you :-)
