Creatively Curzella was created as an expression of who I am. Art gives us the ability to speak volumes without using words. The creative force that is within you must speak in order that your destiny may be complete.

Creativity is possessing the ability to generate unique alternatives, visualize possible impossibilities, and bring to life what is only seen by the heart. Creativity is not defined by rules set by others, but, rather by who you are and what you are surrounded by!

I make and sell unique collage art pieces and greeting cards. My work was inspired by my life's story. For so long I lived for other people and of the expectations they willed for me. Now at 42 I have now come to realize that I was not meant to fit into anyone else's shoes!

I TOTALLY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT MUSIC!!!!

Music calms me and has a way of helping me deal with emotions bottled up so deep inside. Music is a wonderful form of expression. Depending on how I feel music can make me happy, sad, or just thankful for being alive.

I am most passionate about reaching out to my sistas from all over the world. I have started a prison letter ministry as a way of reaching out to my sistas who are in desperate need of words of encouragement. Often times we fail operated in the areas where we are needed the most!!!

Did you know that there are millions of women who are currently incarcerated, just waiting for someone to write and exchange life experiences? EVERYONE enjoy getting letters; especially those letters which help build confidence and inspire hope.

Receiving a letter is the highlight of the day for most prisoners. Just think of how lonely it must feel at mail call to never hear your name being called, especially after being locked up for several years and family and friends have deserted you.

There are so many broken & bitter hearts just waiting to hear that someone truly cares about them and that is hope for a brighter day. I choose to be the one that will deliver a kind word. I choose to take on the challenge of helping another sista along the way.
