I enjoy dabbling in a wide variety of arts including photography. I'm not trained in anything. I just play and enjoy the results.

painting with acrylics or watercolors

Things I Like

bright colors
the ocean mountains
postcards
dark chocolate letters/e-mails from people who share my interests
coffee (almost any flavor except hazelnut and raspberry)
cinnamon Kit Kats and peanut butter Kit Kats (I've only seen them in Canada)
pretty bowls
rocks -- painted or not, but small enough to hold in my hand or carry in my pocket
shells images and handmade art with positive messages

Things I Like to Do

I love taking walks and taking photographs of flowers and trees and interesting natural and man-made textures. I like to try and capture a different view. I like taking macro photos of flowers. Geometric patterns in nature and architecture intrigue me, such as the repetitive pattern of supports under bridges

I love to connect with others who are independent thinkers -- who like to question and wonder and be amazed at serendipitous happenings and curious dreams. While I am not religious, I am deeply spiritual, and love learning about spirituality and different views. I've enjoyed reading Neale Donald Walsch and Joel Osteen. Their writings make me think.

I love watching the change of seasons and the patterns in nature. I enjoying finding wisdom everywhere I look. It's important to me that I contribute something positive to the world.

I try to put into practice things that are for my highest good and the good of the world. I try to recycle and buy organic foods as much as possible. I have begun to notice that I've collected a lot of stuff -- in addition to art supplies -- and am trying to cut down on the clutter. So I try to buy only things I really need and can use rather than just things that will collect dust on the shelf.

Comment: I love what you sent me. This isn't exactly what I expected. The way I do it is create pretty art in the pockets, and put the goodies behind the artwork (if thing are getting bulky, like they do with me, I start putting bigger goodies in a cello, treat, or ziplock bag to include with my pocketletter)
Response: Thanks! This is helpful to know.

Comment: Thank you, Shari/Sharon, for your lovely letter I received today. I will write back soon! Are you on IG? You might get a sneak peek at my letter there before I mail it. 😊 LMK!
Response: Now you have me curious. What is IG? I just noticed someone created a pocket letter swap here that I might sign up for. I look forward to your letter.

Comment: Sounds like you are keeping busy with things you love. I stay busy with swap-bot as you noticed. I was away from swap-bot for 4 years myself, working through my "bi-polar" issues. I have stabilized for about a year now and started back with swap-bot slowly. I am glad I did, I forgot how much I love it. Thank you for the lovely notecard and it did not sound boring to me, thank you for sharing.
Response: Thank you! I’m glad you are enjoying your return to Swap-Bot, too.

Response: I'm really surprised to see that you rated me a 3. Yes, I was slightly late. But I let you know that ahead of time and explained some pretty major extenuating circumstances that was the cause for my lateness. I thought you understood.

Comment: I just have to tell you that this is one of the best letters I've ever received on Swap-bot. It was heartfelt and honest and I could definitely identify with so much of what you said about writing. It does us so much good, so why do we put it off? Best of luck with the knitting (what a great cause) and with your writing, as well. Thank you for sharing your letter with me. Peace.
Response: Wow! I'm glad you enjoyed my journal entry that much. I can ramble a bit when I let my thoughts wander. But it IS what my heart is thinking/feeling, so I let it roll. ;-)

Comment: Oh my gosh! I was so excited when I opened your package! The Geraldine dotee doll was absolutely adorable. She's taking pride of place on my craft table. And we don't get much Herschey chocolate here, so I was very glad to receive it. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response: I'm so glad your package arrived. After I sent it I heard that sending food in the mail might get it caught in customs. I'm so glad that didn't happen and that you love your dotee!
