Description:
  1. Start with a business/baseball card page protector. These are 8.5 x 11 plastic pages with nine 2.5 x 3.5 pockets per page. Sometimes they're called nine pocket page protectors.
  2. Fill one pocket with a letter to your partner. Fold it to fit in the pocket and decorate the outside of the letter.
  3. Fill the remaining pockets with fun miscellaneous items... such as sticky notes, return address labels, swap cards, buttons, washi tape, stickers, ACTs, ribbons, ephemera, magnets, chocolates, tea, quotes, profile surprises, charms, doodads, whatnots. (Filled=if the contents were spread out flat, they would at least cover a 2.5x3.5 area)
  4. Check your partner's profile and avoid dislikes, and make each pocket different. Organize/arrange the pockets attractively so at least the front side is decorative.

The page can be folded in thirds and mailed in a #10 envelope but will likely require non-machinable postage. Sorry newbies, if you have fewer than 15 rated type 3 swaps wait for another round. A 4.95 rating is required and you contact me before joining about threes within the last six months and any ones. I do review profiles and spend time in the PFs and reserve the right to ban those who don't meet the requirements and any drama queens. I will angel, but if that's necessary know there are dire consequences for flaking in one of my swaps.

This is intended to be a learning swap, so let's communicate, okay?

Just edited the description to clarify pocket sizes, changed the send by date to a Monday. And I added a comma--I'll send a fun mail RAK to anyone who can tell me where.

Can we use the Becky Higgin 9-pocket pages? Just wondering - the only difference is the three bottom pockets are bigger.

myshoesdontmatch 02/25/2015 #

can the page protector be handmade?

Hollycarole92 02/25/2015 #

Mkay, I bought the standard ones at Walmart, but was just wondering. ^_^

@Hollycarole92 in my quest to find the perfect fillers for these I found this if you are really into 'making something' for your pockets yes I will try anything!

@myshoesdontmatch Are you still having trouble finding the protectors? I could send you a couple if you message me your address. I'd hate to see you miss out on a fun swap or two because you can't find them. Just a thought!

What a unique idea for a swap. I've never heard of this. Can't wait to get a partner so I can start filling up those pockets! Who-hoo.

search for these on Pinterest....the ideas are mind boggling :) They are perfect for me...all these ears of paper crafting and saving all the ATC size papers and the last one or two of something always with the goal to use later...FINALLY I am using the stuff!!!!

I just finished one of these in a private swap! It was my first one! Looking forward to trying another one! :)

Looks like I missed this one, folks (still waiting on a couple of type 3 ratings, sorry @midwestkiwi thought they'd be in). Fingers crossed that more will be coming!
