i want to have a library in my house. let's start with authors i love: augusten burroughs, jean m auel, jodi picoult, eugene ionesco, edward albee, pinter, james frey, & mary karr. i'm a huge fan of memoirs, especially those detailing dysfunctional families or addiction: e.g. the glass castle & jesus land. i love old/used books. i don't mind writing in the margins or underlining - as long as all of the pages are there then i'm good to go. i like a book that's been loved and read over and over.

I love HBO movies and underdogs.

Fabric Crafts: Beginning Knitter (I've made scarves, and the bamboo handled purse from Stich-n-Bitch). I want to learn how to crochet, but it looks hard.

Paper Crafts: I've been collecting ephemera and paper odds and ends forever, so I'm finally starting to make my own cards. However, I still have a hard time resisting adorable store-bought cards.

I love things that juxtapose tough and tender, trash and elegance, & posh and pop.
