I'm easing up on swaps for the next several weeks as I await colon surgery, possible removal of my gall bladder, too. I expect to be back in full force later this spring. Yes! Walked the Ride for Refuge 5k on Oct 3/15 A beautiful day with 725 walkers and cyclists, including my husband/kidney donor. Thanks be to God for his gift of life in 2008. On January 31, 2015 we celebrated seven full years since our operations. December 12, 2014 Married 44 years to my sweetheart. Cat lover (though cat-less at the moment). Public librarian for 26 years; Church librarian for 20 years. Devotee of British crime and mystery television series.

Used to be quilting (still have 12 drawers of 100% cotton pre-washed fabric). Now paper crafts, esp ATCs and book/bookmark making, collage and art journalling. Want to do some stitching on paper. Favorite supplies include glue stick, ATG, glitter glue (in moderation - wait! Is there such a thing with glitter?), chalk inks, Xacto knife, Bind-it-all, composition books to alter. Like to add beads, words, occasional stamped images, mostly swirls and abstracts

Classics like Man in the White Suit, Lavender Hill Mob, Captain's Paradise, Kind Hearts and Coronets (all Alec Guinness); Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, Tale of two cities, It's a Wonderful Life, Christmas Carol (Alistair Sim, early 1950s).

More modern titles: Speed, Fargo, Terminator (the first in the series), The Mission

I read (well, dip into) a lot of non-fiction - odd history, biography, personal travel. In fiction, right now I prefer British historical mysteries - Bernard Cornwell (prehistoric through medieval), Bernard Knight (Crowner John), Kate Sedley (Roger the Chapman), Edward Rutherfurd (BIG histories). Once I start a series/author, I want to read them all. I'm also discovering some very good young adult novels.

Anything to do with libraries (bookmarks, old checkout receipts, postcards, etc); postage stamps esp those with people or flowers; lavender - colour, scent, plant, lavender fairies; handmade paper; collages, ATCs, inchies; pictures of weird inventions; cartoons and comic strips; cats; odd ephemera - fortune cookie slips, weight machine fortunes; ticket stubs, bus transfers, ads, pages from large atlases; bookmarks; green, blue, purple, and rainbow anything. I've been looking and looking for stickers of tuxedo cats about 1/2" height. If you see any, I'd appreciate knowing the manufacturer - or even receiving a packet. Many thanks.

I gave up cable in 1999 - too many commercials, too much trash, taking too much time - but kept our tv and DVD player. Now I watch what I want when I want, mostly PBS and BBC series borrowed from the public library. Right now enjoying "CSI", "Waking the dead", "Castle". Looking forward to the next "Game of Thrones".
