I appreciate vintage items of all sorts, and get joy from making things from other things. When I find broken or discarded items, leftovers, or unmatched bits and pieces, my mind goes to work trying to imagine what to do with them. I especially admire creative types who can take humble things and turn them into something wonderful! I'm fascinated by how things are constructed, and particularly want to learn more about techniques for jewelry making, knot tying, sewing, assemblage, quilting, collage, wire work. I am often inspired to begin to make something by discovering the innovative ways other people put things together. Sometimes the acquisition of a single small object is the spark for a new creation.

Hello! Since the coordinator of the Holiday Card Switcheroo swaps is suspended, I've created two similar swaps: Winter Holiday Card Shuffle - International and Winter Holiday Card Shuffle - USA. Come join! (And if you don't want to be on the hook for two swaps if she gets it together before then, don't forget to drop from the Switcheroo versions.)
