My name is Jennifer. I live in a small town in northwest Georgia. I currently am a barista at Starbucks which is great because it means I get all the soy lattes I can drink (yum!). It also means I am pretty much immune to caffeine which is good or bad depending on how you look at it.

• plastic bubble toys (put in a quarter--get something nifty) I especially love the little 1" tall figures like monkeys, aliens, kittens, puppies, weird creatures, etc, still in the bubbles, of course.
• postcards (especially vintage) of anything, from anywhere--I prefer them sent naked.

I've been around craftiness all my life (my mum is super crafty!) Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time for getting creative but I do what I can. I really enjoy sewing & crocheting & making paper things (notecards, postcards, bookmarks, etc) & decorating matchboxes, especially shrines! I have also just discovered zentangles & am totally addicted!!!!!!!

I have pretty eclectic tastes and am always open to discovering new music. Some of my fave bands are (in no particular order) Roxy Music, k.d.lang, Slade, Bowie, T. Rex, New York Dolls, Tom Waits, Stereolab, Captain Beefheart, Supergrass, Mumford & sons, Strokes, Abba, Doors, Mamas & Papas, KISS (early stuff), High on Fire, Mercyful Fate, Black Sabbath....lots more. I also like listening to NPR/PRI, recorded books & spoken word (poetry,etc)

I only watch tv shows on DVD or Netflix. Some of my fave shows are True Blood, Bones, CSI (Las Vegas only...not New York or Miami), Torchwood, Spartacus, V, Weeds, Numb3rs, Heroes, Dexter, Dark Angel, Star Trek (Next Gen and Enterprise).

I love to read but unfortunately don't sit and do it much. I especially like science fiction, historical fiction, nonfiction, poetry. My fave writers are Jack Kerouac, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Richard Brautigan, Robert Heinlein, Steven Pressfield, Dan Brown, JK Rowling, Janet Evanovich. I also like to read encyclopedias and dictionaries.

I like all kinds of movies. Some of my faves are LOTR, Pirates of the Caribbean, Reign of Fire, 28 Days Later, Mystery Men, Chocolat, Still Breathing, Logans Run, X Men, Battle Beyond the Stars, Rollerball, CryBaby, A Dirty Shame, Riddick, Velvet Goldmine, Grosse Pointe Blank, High Fidelity...lots more.
