I really enjoy watching a good movie. I don't fancy myself a movie buff or anything, but I really like movies that engage you & require you to think about them long after the movie is over. such as... princess cut, fireproof, courageous, GOD'S Compass, old fashioned, the song, finding normal, country remedy, anything with the cameron family, revelation road 1,2 & 3, risen, war room, mom's night out, hosea, me before you-awww, the notebook, kingdom of heaven,sound of music, funny face, casablanca, yours-mine-& ours, cheaper by the dozen, it's a wonderful life, orginal secret life of walter mitty, Willy wonka, wizard of oz, little women, the secret garden, a little princess, dimples, MY FAIR LADY, Mary Poppins, saving Mr. banks, step-mom, hallmark movies, The Shack, crisis call- you know anything found on pureflix

reading has to be one of my favorite guilty pleasures! I go through seasons when I can't put books down & then there are times when I simply can not find the time to touch one book. I don't really watch a lot of prime time television. we don't have cable. we primarily stream. but here is what I am enjoying right now: this is us & new amsterdam-I don't usually fall for what is popular, but I can't help it I love these shows!

***** I do not join swaps to just get stuff and fill my mailbox. I put thought and effort into all the swaps I participate in (happily-this is why we call it happy mail, right?) I send out swaps I would be excited to receive, and at any given time, I can receive an “I fulfilled the requirements” swap. No letters, no personalization, just stuff in an envelope-No Biggie! I realize that social and economic situations are different. But You took the time to send Me SoMeThInG!! In 2020 I have decided to be more grateful & graceful with my Swapping. I love swapping, but sometimes real life happens.

I am not just trying to build my ratings. If you don’t give me a heart, it is okay. It just means you weren’t as thrilled with what you received as I was sending it. Swap Bot is supposed to be fun!! I understand why the rating system exists, but I also feel like there is uncertainty with it. I now have a 3 for something I will not rehash here and a 1 from someone who flaked on many people & then dropped off the grid and it kinda sucks the fun out of Swap Bot for me. I give feedback as I receive an item. You will also most likely get a heart. Why?? Because you took time and money to send me something!

Once partners are assigned, I will ship it out & mark it sent. I cannot lie & say it will be the same day. Unless it is a Big item: a loaded envelope, a journal, a book, i generally place it in my mailbox. And where i live, the mailbox is at my front door. Yesterday it occured to me that perhaps the mail carrier doesn't check every box everyday? If I place something in there, i usually use a clothespin to prop the lid up so he/she wil notice. Though occasionally my aunt may think she is helping me & take it to the post office & dropping it in the blue boxes-which if it is after a certain time, it may not be collected until the next day. I say all of that to say, i don't mark it sent until i have placed it in the box. The date stamp does not reflect lies or deception, it reflects that we are working with an imperfect system.

When I receive a swap, I leave feedback. I try to be patient as i allow you time to do the same. As I said I am not here for ratings, I do not keep track of who has rated me or not. I assume it will all happen in due time. I don’t hound anyone for ratings. Sometimes I will go, “hey I know I sent this thing to this person some time ago, I wonder if they got it.” Then look it up.

I have seen people ripped to shreds over a swap. DON'T MISUNDERSTAND: NO ONE WANTS TO BE FLAKED ON! BUT sometimes Life Happens! Many people on here have expressed having very serious & sudden health conditions. It could place a delay on the sending of things. I am to the point in my life where I want GOD to show me the person's heart or intent behind the actions. Instead me assuming i already know.

The biggest thing here is communication! We are a community of strangers-a group of people with other demands on our time & SaNiTy! I think this was intended to be fun! I have found the best way to learn something, or figure it out - is to ask. Assumptions and expectation lead to let down and confusion. If you are unsure about anything, please contact me.

January 20, 2020- I Love swapping! But i wish all receiving swappers would provide the grace they wish to receive as if they were the sender.

November 8, 2019-I am back!! I really have missed this community & i am so blessed to know real friendships can be made here. People really did notice my absence & have celebrated (very loosely used) my return. I thank GOD upon every rememberance of you!!

2018 update. I have one (1) rating. I contacted swap bot on several occasions regarding this. The international issuer has been suspended & did not change my rating even after the resend. So while it saddened me to miss the holidays swap-bot style, I dropped off the grid for a little while.

2017-heyy, y'all. I know that The GOD I serve has a sense of humor, because in less than 2 weeks, my life will undergo yet another major shift. I moved across the country.
