I like vintage and antique things, re-purposed crafts and new crafts with a vintage flare.

I love to sew--bags, purses, toys, decorative items.

I love many of the themes that are so popular in crafting right now--cupcakes, birds, owls, creepy cute, shabby chic, old-world luxury, woodland critters, Victorian, gnomes and fairies, Christmas, anything pretty.

I took a crafting hiatus to focus on career but am now feeling inspired again! I used to craft under VintageVeronica. My new alterego PrattlingPetunia includes the veronica account. :)

I love treasure hunting at thrift stores, garage sales and antique stores. In my craft room, I keep a shelf of my fun, impractical thrift store finds. I enjoy small and miniature items. Some of my favorite finds include:

peg dolls (kokeshi-like dolls)-- all the ones I've found at thrift stores have been in fabulous ethnic costumes!, miniature teapots, cups and saucers--mini and full sized, interesting chess pieces, interesting salt and pepper shakers, mini animal and bird figures, neat vintage Christmas ornaments, small ethnic crafts and overseas souvenirs, small purses, coin purses and wallets, miniature pottery and figures, neat old mugs and coffee cups. Pretty much anything interesting and vintage!
