18/6/19- I thought I should point out that 5 of the swaps on my current list are old swaps that are either hosted by people no longer active or ones I am actively trying to put right.

3/6/19- massive apologies to anyone I flaked on over the last five years, I think I was last here in 2015.

I'm not going to be seriously swapping for the foreseeable future (online/postcard only) as I am continuing to struggle with my health.

If there's anyone out there who feels I owe them something please do get in touch. I know I flaked on several swaps but have no real idea how bad it got.

I have a long history of ill health and was diagnosed with bipolar in 2009- around this time I took on two swaps that I flaked out on.

In 2015 my health got bad again and I flaked on some more swaps, i'm trying to make up for this.

In 2016 I was made redundant from my job at the local University and have been unable to work full time since then due to my ill health

I've been making zines on and off for about the last 25 years, and they are my first love- however i'm not going to take on any zine swaps until I know i've got the capacity to follow through.

Primarily i'm a paper and pen kinda girl- cutting and pasting, photocopying and stapling are the things that make me most excited. However here's a list of other things I like to turn my hand to:
making 1" badges, machine embroidery, print making, drawing

zines (will swap my zines for your zines), comics godzilla, cheese, old photos, oil sticks, black ink, vintage fabric, old embroidery, wooden cotton reels, old book pages, tracing paper, brown paper, old lace, masking tape, pritt stick, black ink brush pens, old children's books, gold leaf

religion (please don't pray for me, or send me religious items (oh unless they are kitsch/tacky collectables from any religion!))

meat (i've been veggie for about 27 years now) so please don't send me anything that has animals in!

I'm really not interested in 'Scrapbooking' - I do collect scraps and strange bits of paper, but I much prefer these to be original materials -newspaper/magazine/book pages etc- rather than things that have been created for scrapbooking. I hope that makes sense?

i'm primarily here to make up for the swaps I flaked on.

Hopefully in the future I will be able to swap for zines, and get involved with making more of them- I hope that swap-bot gives me the push to be more productive!

I love reading. For the last few years i've been challending myself to read 50 books a year that are new to me. I keep a record of my reading on Goodreads

I think if you spent too long looking at my reading lists you could work out a LOT about me, which is rather worrying.

I wasn't going to add a tv section, but I realised that despite not having a tv I actually watch a lot of stuff! I think i've realised that actually I watch a lot of sci-fi/fantasy genre stuff, which I never would have owned up to a few years ago.
