I am just home August 28th from the hospital. I realize there are a ton of swaps and stuff I have to get together and some I have to rate for. I am working on getting these out in this weeks mail.

I am an avid collector of both. I am working on a collection of maps, lighthouses, UNESCO sights, stadiums, waterfalls and unique landmarks for postcards. Although I am not fussy, I enjoy most cards I get, just not ad cards. Stamps I collect North American, Brasil, Europe, Russia, New zealand, Australia, Philippines, Island Nations such as Trinidad, Iceland, etc. Most of my collection is used as I prefer a stamp to have done it's job so to speak! I also am a member of the APS and have displays I set up for schools to encourage the younger generation to get into this wonderful hobby. I also use damaged stamps to craft items, so if you throw them out please don't! Send them along to me.

I craft anything I can make into something. I do a lot of recycled crafts, yarn, paper, wood and metals. I also am learning beading and jewelry making. That is an interesting adventure in itself. I belong to a knitting group and we donate blankets, afghans, winter warmers, and anything else requested to orphanages, social programs, VA hospitals , etc. We do donate through Project Linus and Soldier's Angels.

Everything except country. Just never could get an ear for that. Favorites are Beatles, Madonna, Aerosmith, Elton John. I grew up in the 80's and Dad always had the oldies on so I have a soft spot for all the jitterbug music from the 50's and 60's too. I enjoy Celtic and love the bagpipes. I try to go to at least one fife and drum corp show per year.

anything that I can get through the first chapter! I am currently reading "The Postmistress" and "The Old Curiousity Shoppe". My favorite tale is WAshington Irving's Rip Van Winkle!

The only thing I watch regularly is NCIS, Giada at Home and the Barefoot Contessa. Oh and it is baseball season so Mets all the way! I spend a lot of time with crafts, penpals and stamp pals so not much time for the old tv!

I am always looking for private swaps for stamps, postcards and recipes. Feel free to send a message if you want to trade. I also do one time swaps of fb's, slams and decos.

I am brand new to this media but imagine I will have loads of fun making them. I am not fussy about what type of art you would send me, but for those swaps that want a little more detail about what I like here is a list:

1-Stamp collecting and the hobby 2-Waterfalls 3-Ocean stuff such as the mammals, animals, lighthouses, Tall ships etc 4-Asian, I love the Asian culture. Chinese alphabet, foods, designs, art, any really. 5-Animals, mainly cats they are my favorite both the big and domesticated. But I love all creatures big and small. 6-Anything with an Ethnic touch. If you want to teach me something from your part of the world, and can be creative in doing so Please feel free to give me a lesson via ATC.

My favorite colors are red (for passion) and yellow(for smiles and sunshine). Favorite flowers are roses, lilacs, calla lilly, and sunflowers Favorite time of day is sunrise and sunset! I love all the colors in the sky at this time of day. Favorite cartoon is Snoopy and Spongebob.
