Hello from Chicago!

My name is Kasey Rose and I love getting little bits of love in my mailbox.

My hobbies include: reading of all sorts (especially sweeping epics and sci-fi), drinking lots of coffee and wine, writing, traveling, hiking, dancing in my kitchen, cooking and gardening.

I currently work at the Chicago Botanic Garden and do freelance writing from home. My dream is to publish a comic book in the next few years.

I love connecting with other nerds to talk about fandoms, cosplay, and video games.

I am currently collecting stamps from countries around the world. I love researching the people and places depicted on them!

I have been pen-paling for over a decade. I have formed some wonderful and deep friendships over the years. I believe in the joy of slow friendship and thoughtful letters. However, I am also really enjoying all the fun and quirky swaps on Swap Bot :)

I love paper crafts and sending little bits of love through the mail. I have made blankets for charity and I do a lot of baking with my eldest son- who has far surpassed my skill level at this point. I do a lot of DIY around the house and have kept a home garden for six years. Last year I planted an entire box of plants that could be made into tea and it brought me such joy.
