These are calzones and you can fill them with anything from pepperoni & cheese to spinach & artichokes to whatever the mood strikes you. We ate these a lot in Pennsylvania.
dunno if this is popular or not, but this is creamy cheesy corn soup, I make it all the time when im hungry, its kind of something I was raised on!

its a sugary ice & fruit sorbet with cherry syrup. these were so common for me growing up but apparently not many people have heard of this!

Collard Greens are a very common dish in the south, but this transplanted yankie doesn't care for them. But I have learned how to cook them!
We raised our kids in Pennsylvania where Gobs are all the rage! These are not your normal cookies and frosting. They are a muffin-like cookie/biscuit with a cream cheese whipped amazingly yummy stuff in the middle.
So, I'm from Maine! We have a lot of food that is well known all over... but I'm such a picky eater, I don't like it, haha! We have some foods that aren't as widely known about, loved, or accepted. I found a YouTube video once of people from out west trying "Maine dishes," and their reactions are what made me realize some things are just Maine things, lol.
First, lobster, but in particular, the lobster roll
Apparently, red hot dogs aren't a thing all over the U.S.
Not everyone loves Moxie, but we have a festival in Lisbon each year. I will one day run the Moxie 5k :)
Finally, I always thought whoopie pies were everywhere, but I have found out from more than one tourist to ME, that maybe they're not?

Hi, I think we have a lot of common likings! I love memes, animals, AC (and here are my faves: ketchup, lily, merengue), pokemon, and I'm a crazy gudetama stuff hoarder. I also happen to have succulents!
