My name is Rachel and I'm an aspiring writer, and accountant by day. I'm a recent transplant to the Bay Area after spending most of my life in Oregon (growing up) and Washington (for college). I love to travel, cook new recipes, write novels, read books but also buy more books than I can read, and I also love to pretend to be knowledgeable about wine. I have a cat and lots of plants and a boyfriend (in no particular order). I'm a Pisces! I also really like whiskey, dachshunds, yoga, and recently...running!

• Tea - I mostly drink either Earl Grey or herbal tea, however I'd love to try your favorite kind!

• dogs (I have a senior dachshund mix who lives on my parents farm; he loves the space to roam!)

I love all postcards, and recently I'm really loving:

But postcards are just a picture without the notes that go along with them! I'd love to hear about your day, what you love, what you've been thinking about, something about your country/city/state, something that makes you happy, or whatever! If you are looking to receive a postcard back, or for a penpal, let me know because I love exchanging happy mail :)

I love discovering new things through swapping, especially through the creativity of my swap partners and penpals, so this one is difficult! I'm mostly open to receiving anything, however....

Spiders freak me out! I don't like sharks, but I was conflicted to find the recent U.S.A. sharks postage very likable, and I'm not disturbed by drawings of sharks. I think I'm just scared of the movie Jaws after watching it too young at a friend's house, at the beach no less!

I don't trade ATCs or Inchies. I am not a scrapbooker, but I like to journal. Please see the craft section above for more!

I don't like receiving items that smell of cigarette smoke. I don't drink instant coffee, but my boyfriend will drink it at some point -- I do like tea and regular coffee though :)
