I live in the country with my boyfriend on 22 acres. We are about 7 miles from the nearest town. I have been an avid crafter for most of my life. I also enjoy reading, boating, camping and our Harley Davidson. Eddie, my boyfriend, has a twelve year old son Cole, that I help care for. He also loves to craft!
My boyfriend owns a carpet cleaning business and I run it for him. He is an ironworker. A wonderful man! I'm very lucky!
My musical tastes are wide and varied. I enjoy classic rock, current rock, some pop or top 40, country, and classic soul. I absolutely love to dance! Unfortunately, we don't get out and do that as often as I'd like. I have been spotted dancing around the living room or out in the yard by myself when the beat is good and the mood strikes!
Current mystery stories or thrillers are probably what I like best (lately). Time travel, some historical romance or the occaisional sci-fi novel can also grab my interest.
Not a huge TV watcher but I do get sucked in sometimes. CSI, any of them and NCIS are probably my favorites. I also like American Idol in the beginning and close to the end. Oh, I do also enjoy HGTV and I miss the "crafty" type shows that they use to air. What happened to all of that?
A good comedy is my favorite type of movie but, I also enjoy drama and thrillers. I like a movie that really makes you think and do not enjoy slapstick or slasher movies.
Favorite crafts...hmm... There's alot of crafty/ sewing type things that I enjoy and my "favorite" crafting activity shifts with my mood. Currently, I have been doing alot of quilting. I also love beadwork, some cross stitching and papercrafting, I love to create things from something old such as a quilt, chenille bedspread and pieces of trim or lace. These types of crafts are not the limit but, the beginning as I am very open to new ideas and concepts.
Likes: Just about anything to do with papercrafting, I'm always looking for paper punches that are sort of generic meaning: ovals, circles, rectangles, squares, "tag- shaped" that sort of thing, glass beads, semi-precious beads (turquoise is my very favorite and my birthstone, LOVE it!), Patricia Cornwell novels (but I've read most of them), Janet Evanovich also, her books make me laugh out loud, James Patterson, John Saul, Dean Koontz, most Stephen King, animal print, flames, skulls, absolutely ANYTHING (!!!) Harley Davidson or "biker-ish" (think: leather, studs, fringe with bling), current fabric, 30's or 40's repro fabric, flour sack fabric, vampires, Lip Smackers lip gloss (specifically), coffee (with caffiene!), old quilts, quilts (period!), good chocolate, sour things, snowmen, Christmas items (NOT traditional bright red and green for snowman making), rubber stamping, narrow unusual ribbon for paper crafting, family, friends, earrings (I have short hair!), bracelets, necklaces, things that smell clean and kinda soapy, surprises! Oh, and by the way, I'm looking for a bone folder for paper crafting.
Baby, child, or teacher stickers, plastic canvas, kawaii, "cartoony" themed things, tea bags (love Lipton iced tea and that's about it), not big on postcards, dolls, black licorice, white chocolate, chocolate with fruit or mint flavoring, anime, barrel clasps (for jewelry making), stuffed animals, and I'm sorry to all of you who love them but......dotee's (we all have different tastes!), oh, and, Lilly of the Valley scented things (actually reminds me of musty and old), socks (I basically wear only black or white and occaisionally brown. Whatever the situation calls for.)
Let's see he likes:
Art/craft supplies,
LOVES video game stuff (sigh...),
anything camo,
anything Harley Davidson,
stuff or kits to build/ make something,
activity books,
comics- books or mags., Greek mythology books/stuff,
"sparkly" gel pens, markers, colored pencils,
T-shirts size: Men's L or XL. Of course, it doesn't have to be new. Just "nice".
I will always rate you and I am quite generous. We do live in the country and I do not go to the post office everyday. I ALWAYS try to be as timely as I can though. If your rating has not shown up yet, I don't have the package yet. I always thank folks for Tag's or RAK's, both privately with a PM and publicly with a comment on your profile, so everyone who looks at your profile will also know how kind and generous you are! Not just me.
As far as ratings that I receive from others... I will send your package on time. Even though I do not go to the post office every day, I will plan accordingly so that your package will go out on time. Sometimes that will be early after partners are assigned and at other times it may be close to, or on the deadline. If for some unforseen reason life throws me a curve ball (or you for that matter), I will communicate that to you thoroughly and I hope you will do the same! None of us intend to have complications however, life is life. One just never knows. Also, if what I have sent has somehow not pleased you or missed the mark I am more than willing to try and fix it! I really love gathering items and preparing packages. I always study my partner's profile carefully whether the swap dictates that or not. So if I have not done a good job in some way please PM me and let me know! I'm willing to do whatever it takes to remedy the situation and I will not be offended!
We recently have gotten partial legal custody of my (Eddie's actually) niece, Tiffany. She's a beautiful, very bright teenager with slight autism. We craft and sew together. Tiffany is a Junior in high school. Telling time on an analog clock and making change/counting money (practice) is our special focus of late. Any hints, tips, literature or advice you may have to help us would be welcome! We work on these things each time she's with us and I'm very proud of how well she's done already!
Tiffany is quite a fan of Hello Kitty! She also likes Julius (the monkey) and enjoys sketching. She is also interested in learning to cross-stitch. I would like to have some large weave cross-stitch fabric to get her started. She would enjoy most any type of crafting "kit". Just, not overly intricate pretty please. She isn't picky and always greatful for anything she receives.
