I would like to introduce myself. I am a Mom, sister, daughter, friend and a retired elementary teacher. I had penpals since I was a child but now have switched to postcarding as an adult for over ten years. I enjoy choosing the perfect card for my recipient and hoping they love the stamps I put on the card too. I have lots to cards to choose from including: view, nonview, postcard books and much more. I am not into handmade cards but I appreciate their beauty. I really LOVE view cards as this is my way to see your world. In particular lighthouses, stadiums, whales, zoos, amusement parks, Titanic related, Keep Calm, Harry Potter, Meetups, and Cruise Ships are my favs. I have a collection of postcards that is well over 2000. I organize it mostly by country and/or theme. My goal is to scan and have an online album but I find I don't have the time to do that. For now I will enjoy the cards and look at them in their boxes. In my free time I like to go for walks, go swimming, read fiction and non-fiction books, watch tv and of course postcarding. I'm also doing lots of 500 and 1000 pc puzzles these days. I also like to collect pencils from different countries. Just basic pencils. I have some from vacations I have gone on and love using them.

I enjoy reading books, especially now that I have more free time since I retired. My favourite genre is historical fiction. I also like biographies, autobiography and mystery. I'm not really a romance genre type of gal. Non fiction is interesting to me.

I hope to get to join lots of swaps as I start to get rated, and please be honest and tell me how I can improve as a member.
