To all my swap partners: shipping from Israel can often take longer than two weeks. I have shipped all my swaps before or on the swap deadline. Forgive the long wait - you are my first batch of swaps sent out, and I do not yet know all the ins and outs of how long it takes. When I do know I will it write here, so no one is disappointed when it takes longer.

I am a university student majoring in English Literature. I love things that have gone from the world or are old-fashioned, like snail-mail, suffragists, travel by train and boat, typewriters, Polaroid cameras, records and cassettes, field recordings of folk songs, old postcards and letters, things from countries that no longer exist (Yugoslavia, Rhodesia, the USSR, etc.) Anything vintage. I am intrigued by the idea of space travel.

Frank Sinatra, I like American and British music from World War II (like the Andrews Sisters and Vera Lynn), Nancy Sinatra, Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Joanna Newsom. Traditional folk music of all kinds.

I love Classic Hollywood. My favorite stars are Katharine Hepburn & Cary Grant. Fred and Ginger movies, "The Philadelphia Story", "Casablanca", "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Also "Before Sunrise", "The Piano", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "The Princess Bride", Bollywood, musicals (my favorites are "Cabaret", "Guys and Dolls", "The Sound of Music").

I read a LOT. My favorite book is"Jane Eyre". Currently working on "Anna Karenina" and "Far from the Madding Crowd". I like good historical fiction like "Correlli's Mandolin". I love Margaret Atwood. I like comic-books and graphic novels and the poetry of Yeats and Emily Dickinson. I am a Shakespeare freak.

I think the best TV shows ever made are "Slings and Arrows" and "Buffy". I loved "Carnivale" while it lasted. I am also a secret Trekkie. I like British humor. I am interested in animation, especially Russian and early American.

I like things that are offbeat, old-fashioned, vintage, obsolete. I have a sweet tooth. I like Kawaii food with faces. Please do NOT send me stuff with single words on them like "dream" or "friendship" etc. I prefer whole sentences. I like most colors, especially brown, blue and red. Please do not send me wearable items that are hot pink. I will not wear them. If you really want to make me shoot through the roof with happiness: *Anything that has to do with making food portable: thermoses & travel mugs (especially of the tacky 70's kind, but not just), as well as bento stuff. * I love leg-warmers! *I like canvas totes - from local attractions (like museums, local record stores etc.) as well as handmade. *Love Cadbury anything, especially "Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut", as well as Milke. Love mint-chocolate and orange-chocolate combos. High quality instant hot-chocolate is impossible to get here. *Comic books and interesting magazines, in English or other languages. *An Polaroid camera or Polaroid pictures. *Tarot cards. I already have the Raider Waite deck.
