So many books, so little time. My favortie books of all time are Pllars of the Earth by Ken Follet and the Warlord Trilogy by Bernard Cromwell. Im also rereading the Handmaids Tale by Margaret Atwood for the umpteenth time, so I guess that is a good note to make. i confess this secret to you: i like smut. I do not sit and read Plato. I like to sit and read murder mysteries, horror and fantasy. I engross myself in a bath and a book for hours, until I am shivering in tepid water. My favorite smut is Laurel K Hamilton, but Steven King is a close second. When I feel smart, I read about ancient history, mythology, and aquarium fish.

I recently had someone describe my music in likeness to a rainy day at the beach. Mellow, pleasant, and a little melancholy. I also enjoy a good perky tune, but these day I guess Im just mellowing out. The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty and the Beatles are some of my favorites.

Who doesnt love surprises? My life has been full of all sorts of surprises, varying from delightful t terrifying. Its the range of excitement that keeps me alive. Constant change, a little controlled chaos. What makes me smile? Animals, crafting, music and nature. Did I mention animals? All my life I have had a strong connection with the non humans in my life. It has led me to many different jobs working with animals of all sorts.
This has affected me in some off ways. My boyfriend tells me Im a little broken. I love fish. Aquariums, sushi, fishing. It all makes me smile. I also have a weird soft spot for pigs, which are the only things I like in pink. Lolcats kills me more than anything else.
Puns are wonderful things.

I love to make kumihimo.
Im fiddling with sculpy for the first time now, so far so good.
I love to play with leather, feathers, antlers, teeth and bone. Dream catchers, feather wands, medicine shields, other bits Ive put together for fun. Its somewhat spiritual, using items others would discard. i wish i was good at sewing, but, alas, only the basics for me. If I could receive hand made items? little stuffed animals. felt, fabric, I dont care. So amazing. I love almost anything made by an artist (or someone like me who enjoys puttering)

I am always always on the look out for certain objects: Feathers (natural plumage) Unique stones, rocks, crystals beads, non plastic,
images of nature,
statues of tasteful nudes (please, nothing you wouldnt show your mom)
humor! I love to laugh.

fabric is an addiction. pretty ribbon/thread/yarn. The more unique, the better. color, width and texture are everything

I hate to sound ungrateful, but a few things I cannot use are:
Pink. Nothing pink, at all.
Plastic beads.
Disney anything.
anything that smells like food, but is not food. (as in, cookie scented candles, lotions that smell like, um, pie or sausage, etc)
