About Me

Hi, i'm 32, lithuanian, living in UK. I'm stay at home mum looking after my 2 year old daughter, and a man who brings home the food.

I'm a beauty addict, scenography, costumes and pretty faces is all I need to get inspired. I love Dita von Teese. Not the show part but the visual everyday look she creates. The moves, the elegance, the smell, matching colours. What a good taste. If only she had Liv Tylers face.. ;) My inner child loves wall-e, garfield, totoro, my daughter adores other pixar characters and michey (disney), my man is crazy about nascar and offroad trucks. I collect pretty paper kitchen napkins, japanese Iwako eraser animals (not school erasers), tangkou, ddung, kewpie dolls and all sorts of little things I can re-use when inspired or store in the cabinet.

I show on my mailbox blog mostly everything I send or get via swapbot and postcrossing/Instagram.

For profile based postcard swaps I got detailed postcrossing account, so I no need to write preferences here.

My crafty blog is resting at the moment as I'm looking for inspiration.

Favorite Music

I used to listen to rock but as soon as I became a mum I want to hear relaxing sounds. I love Enigma, Era, Deep Forest, Buddha-bar, Sacred spirits, Gregorian chants.

I am a fan of Stereophonix, Coldplay, hotel costes by S. Pompougnac, Zemfira, Reammon, U2, Lykke Li, Barry White, Moby, some electro, techno, oldschool, national orchestras.

Favorite Books

Paulo Coehlo books - most of them. E. Zola - the Paradise, J. Austen - Pride & Prejudice, K. Bulgakov - Master & Margarita, P. Gregorys novels. Even Sophie Kinsela, Candace Bushnell or other girlie reads before bedtime. I have sooo many psychology, self healing and management books, but I'm not sure should I list them as favourites.

Favorite Movies

most favorite movie is life. Wuxia films - wu shu/magic swords and love.. Good comedies - first Bridget Jones movie is my therapy. Period films or series - Becoming Jane, Sherlock Holmes. Sci fi movies, psycho thrillers - Hannibal or Avatar. Cartoons - Hanna Berberra and Pixar, Ghibli studios work. The vampire diaries,

Favorite Crafts

Sewing and kniting is something I do with my eyes shut (my grandmother tought me to knit when I was a child, and my very first studies were taloring-fitting while waiting for the place in uni but I been sewing little things since age of 8).

I do lots of different crafts, trying everything that looks interesting and relaxing.

At the moment I'm into paper. Letters, snailmail, artmail, envelopes, illustrations. Just about to start a journal.

my happy letter box

If you were selected to send to me becouse of 'I love crafts/arts', please put some love into parcel, as it's obvious that I expect something arty/crafty from an art lover/crafter. I'm looking forward to some creative swaps, that are picked with a meaning, rather just to complete the guide or send tons of extras, please don't be afraid to make something yourself. I am trying to get into swaps where I could use my imagination and hands. I hope you'll show your heart for a heart.

If I'm in a swap I will swap. And if I get it right it motivates even more :) If you want to give me lower rating, please email me before ticking the box, so we could find another option. If I haven't recieved your swap i'll gladly comunicate first too. If you want to do private swap with me, drop me a message please.

Things I like to find in my letterbox - decorated, nicely made (envelopes/packages. You know how well presented package works do you? ;)

It is nice to find unused, clean, or very good condition items.

Second hand/thrift finds that aren't worn out. I'm ok with single items aswell (1 cute peg, 1 nice straw, 1 cool something instead of the pack of 10)

spiritual/healing related items, aromatheraphy oils, herbal cards/books, bohemian style, tarrot, symbolic chants (little symbols that if to believe have a power to save, to heal, to bring luck, like dream catchers, little statues, turkish eye beads, amulets, etc. depending on a culture and country)

Thread, wool, deco/ceramic buttons, lace, twine, something to do with sewing, knitting, crochet and crosstitch, embroidery, patterns, etc.

Pretty coasters, your favorite teabags to try or my favorite green tea with something (can be herbal, loose, nicely packed, but please do not overload me with spiced chai), hot chocolate, fruit flavour gums, cute mint/sweet tins, beautiful paper napkins (serviettes), kitchen tea towels, embroidery decorated linnens, table/plate mats, paper straws, seazoning herbs.

Crafts, dyi suplies, pretty unused fashion accesories, makeup/coin purses, cute pencil/pen cases, scented candles, air fresheners (for wardrobes), Iwako eraser animal toys, bunting.

Branded samples, parfume, shampoo/conditioners - only normal hair please. New branded (not one dollar/pound/euro shop) lipbalm, nail varnish, pastel shadows, eye liners, hand cream ect, bath salt/oils/bubble/bombs, handmade soap. (please DON'T send face cream). Shades of brown are my most favorite for makeup.

Flower/plant/veg seeds. Windmills. Origami. Vintage, retro, deco, notebooks, journals, country/period living items, magazines, handmade, homemade items/crafts. Interesting wooden pegs. I fell in love with vintage rose/flower bucket paintings recently :)

stationary - writing sets, mail art, nice gel pens, washi tape, non kiddy stickers, calendars, postage stamps, rubber stamps, travel tickets, pressed flowers, bookmarks, scrapbook items. All size postcards, handmade envelopes, paper doll kits, interactive, die-cuts, cut out cards, pictures, illustrations, zines, atc, nice gift bags, handmade decorative tags.. And ofcourse a letter, or a note. If you practice calligraphy shall I ask you to write it that way? Oh, could you please rub a tiny bit of your favorite parfume on a letter/note? (I've been looking for my scent most of my life, and what if yours is the one..)

things i don't like

junk, dirty, used/unwanted items. I'm also not a big fan of pink, purple items, hello kitty things, glitter, key rings (exept handmade).

insects,

dollar/euro/pound items (I prefere quality over quantity)

plastic carier/gift bags, jewls, decorations,

Unfinished products, like hair clips, broch, neclaces full of glue, scarfs/t-shirts with loose uncut threads, damaged things that are fixed uncorectly..

items that been sent too many times to 'regift'

out of date items.

cigarete smell.

Comment: Sveika, Aura! Atsiprašau, kad taip vėlai registruoju, mėnesio ilgumo atostogos tarp Lietuvos ir Ispanijos visai išmušė iš vėžių. Labai juokingas atvirukas! Tas string bikini stiliukas, nors parašyta "2000's", akivazdžiai yra iš the 80's :D Kaip sekėsi namuose? Mane namai visada išveda iš pusiausvyros...

Comment: Your envelope alone was beautiful, the note explaining why you liked the two note cards was so thoughtful, and the balloon made me smile, what a cute idea to add a real balloon. I am going to do that. Many Hearts! Thanks

Comment: Great set of postcards. Over here we don't really have British anything so these are really unique to me! What is the Duke of Edinburghs' Award? It was on some of the cards.
Response: i'm surprised you got them so quick! and pleased you like the postcards! DofE is a setup so that person or a team decide the activities that they will complete to gain the award. The aim is for them to learn and develop new skills or to improve the level of expertise in skills that people already have. It can be charity with a great program, sports event, or new research. It helps to rase some money and award sometimes opens few more doors for the career in the future. ofcourse you need to apply that you want to join the award program first, and then do your best :)
