As of today all swap ratings have been caught up with. If you have not received a rating it is because I have not received your swap as of yet.
I am Shel, I am 38 and I am a mature university student. I am studying Speech and Language Pathology and in my 3rd year.
I live in a beautiful part of the world on the West Coast of Scotland.
I have 1 17 year old (18 next month) daughter who has disabilities. She will never live on her own, she is at the level of a 6-7 year old but is the happiest young lady you will come across. She loves crafting and we love to spend afternoons crafting together and scrapbooking.
I am getting married this year. Currently making all of our invitations.
I think I am a really happy helpful person and love to make a difference to someone’s day.
I am also a member of the Rebel Badge Club. It is so much fun. It’s like guides for adults!!!
I like most types of music apart from anything that has too much vulgar language in it. I tend not to have a favourite artist. It’s more I hear a song I like.
I absolutely love to read. I love psychological thrillers and crime. I like Agatha Christie, James Patterson, Freida McFadden, John Marrs and many more. I have just started reading a new author Anna-Marie Morgan and working my way through her DI Giles series.
I am taking part in the 52 book challenge this year to try and expand my reading into genres I haven’t really read. Not really doing too well with it as have so much university reading to do instead! Once exams are over I will be able to read for pleasure again.
I like who dunnits‘, anything from Agatha Christie to CSI to Vera and Death in Paradise and everything in between. I like true crime shows.
I also like quiz shows like The Chase, Lingo, Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
I love to craft. My main crafts are cross stitch and scrapbooking but I love trying other crafts too.
At the moment I am exploring pocket letters (if anyone would like to swap one/ receive one let me know).
I am teaching myself macrame right now. I also have a box full of new crafts to try including needle felting.
The two crafts I have tried to master are knitting and crochet and I just cannot get them. It’s something to do with the tension I think. My mum has all but given up on teaching me how to knit!!!
Mum and I are also making my wedding dress and the bridesmaids and flower girl dresses.
I also like journalling, lists, being organised, stickers, stencils, stationery, etc. My favourite time of the week is a Sunday evening when I sit and organise my week and set everything up.
Horror,
Snakes,
Spiders,
Cruelty,
People being nasty,

Ghosts.
I am not really into anything mythical.

I live in Scotland so international post will take longer than regional.
I can no longer get proof of postage that I liked doing. I live in a small town and our post office is also used as a bank as 2 of the towns banks have closed lately. I was making a long queue when I was getting proof of postage receipts. However I always take photos of finished swaps and envelopes before I post.
Stamps are put on by the post office clerk. We don’t really get a choice of type of stamp or where it is placed.
If I get to the post office in the afternoon there is a chance it will already have been lifted. Its meant to be at a certain time but is frequently earlier. If I post at the weekend the chances are it will be post marked Mondays date. I mark sent once I have handed mail to post office clerk.
I’m sometimes away for a few nights during the week due to university. I will rate any swaps the night I get home.

LLU: Happy Library Week (profile comment)🤓📚🎉
Three of the things I'm thankful my library has are:
Digital services like Libby & Hoopla- I read A LOT of audiobooks!
The memories I made there as a kid, I'd check out the AKC breed manuals first on video and then in book form over and over again as a kid!
Beautiful spacious buildings and reading spaces. The buildings they have are amazing and they have little partly hidden areas you can curl up with a book and read!
I'm adding a 4th :p
Honestly, I could go on and on but I'll stop there!
Happy Library Week!
