Amelia Island is awesome! Have you been to Little Talbot? It's very near Amelia but the beach is usually much less crowded. It costs $5 per vehicle to get in, so perhaps that deters people. My husband and I went to Amelia & Little Talbot during our vacation in June and we are taking the kids to Amelia next fall.
